China's strategic vulnerabilities

Flexibility means give up certain historical things if needed.
Russia took Crimea because it needs access to black sea.

If China wants to defend itself at india ocean, controlling myanmar is starting point.
US took hawaii and guam because it need them for naval bases in pacific.

Russia rejoined with Crimea after the US had the "brilliant" idea to illegally topple the government of Ukraine in 2014 in order to install an Anti-Russian regime in its place. Russia does not just do things out of the blue. Although US propaganda is trying to brainwash its global audience to believe otherwise.

US have a long Pacific coast. They took Guam and Hawaii as part of imperial expansion. Russia have access to black Sea, but took crimea because it is historically Russian and not Ukraine's.

Why don't we ask japan to give up Kyushu and Okinawa or Korea to give up Jeju, that would help out China too.

China eastern side toward Pacific is dead end. China and US is decoupling, soon followed by china and japan. There's nothing there.
That's why China looking toward the westward with alliance with iran for 25 yrs deal. So, dont spend any more unnecessary resources on things with dead ends.

It is more like Iran need China investment and technology since they are embargoed by the west. The strategic alliance is not new they have been working since 2016 But Iran could not make up her mind Now out desperation she has not choice but sign the agreement

China BRI involve more than Iran It is a way to diversify dependence on Malacca strait and at the same time try to developed central asia so they become richer and become new market for Chinese good and service export. It also building infratstructure to facilitate export to China(oil and Gas). So it is multi dimension and has nothing to do with Iran.

Iran make a small segment of Chinese import and export China get most of their oil and gas from centrla asia and now Russia. Chinese economy is doing well but Iran economy is in a dump!

Why would a major country only focus on one other country? China's focus is on all the countries in the world. There is also no alliance with Iran, China don't do alliances. It's a commercial transaction that the US gifted to China by being stupid. Boomers in Pacific means less flight time for missiles to Washington. Boomers in Indian ocean can't reach Washington.

What dead end, it’s where most of the threats are coming from for China. US should drop it’s support for TI, it’s the real dead end.

It would accelerate the process de-dollarization at the same time as China is overtaking US as the largest retail market in the world. It’s not really in the US interest to decouple.
You can try to convince the US elites decoupling is not in their best interests.
