Next time anyone here mentions "freedom of navigation". Just show them this. Where's Russia's freedom of navigation in INTERNATIONAL space?

Typhoon jets on NATO Quick Reaction Alert based in Romania have been launched in response to Russian aircraft flying in international airspace close to Romanian airspace.

The aircraft are part of Operation BILOXI, the UK contribution to the NATO enhanced Air Policing mission in the region, which in turn is part of the NATO Assurance Measures first authorised in 2014 following the NATO Summit of that year.

Describing the effort, the RAF say:
“With this enhanced capability, NATO has demonstrated its collective resolve of deterrence and defence, specifically for the NATO Allies on the eastern flank of the Alliance.”

The aircraft were heading towards Romanian airspace.

“When the Russian aircraft entered the Romanian Flight Information Region, we were scrambled to conduct a Combat Air Patrol in the area. As the suspect aircraft turned into Romanian airspace we were then instructed to visually identify the track. As we approached our Combat Air Patrol area, the Russian aircraft turned, headed away from us and left the FIR, at which point we resumed our air patrolling mission and practiced some air combat manoeuvres before returning to base.”
Wing Commander Lamping, Commanding Officer 121 Expeditionary Air Wing, was also quoted:

“This is our eighth scramble since assuming our NATO enhanced Air Policing mission at the start of May. Every time the call to scramble has been given personnel across the Wing have responded with the utmost professionalism to help secure NATO airspace in the Black Sea region.”

I have a high regards for Manny Pacquiao as a boxer especially from the very humble beginnings of where he came from which was dirt poor. The man has been listening to the many Rasputins that he has surrounded himself with, most especially the snake oil salesmen who fashioned themselves as the lamb of Christ.

@Bellum_Romanum bro here I blame her mother and his wife, they should provide a cordon sanitaire knowing that Pacquiao is gullible , like you said coming from a humble beginning then suddenly being thrust into the spotlight, with praises and adulation, he had become a narcissist. bro you can see his core value had been corrupted not only his but his whole family. And I had seen this kind of story keep on repeating itself here among Filipinos, especially the OFW. I think religion is a factor, their teaching contradict their action and the old value had diminished.

Same here, Manny Pacquiao is a national treasure all over the world in the diaspora. But Pacquiao is too invested in the US will not be able to make the real hard choices I think. I'm pretty sure he has not converted all his US dollars or liquidated his property in the US. When you have won multiple hundreds millions of dollars you're going to be really carefully to not lose those dollars.

@ansy1968 I heard Duterte is going to run on the VP ticket, is it known who he will endorse as President?

@BlackWindMnt Bro whose Duterte the father or the daughter? it was the worst kept secret that Duterte objective in his VP bid is to disrupt the opposition...LOL, his plan is to endorse Bong Bong Marcos as President and his daughter Sarah Duterte as his VP then the next election cycle his daughter will run for the Presidency. Right now the people really wanted Duterte to run since the constitution forbade it the next logical choices is the VP position and if he did decided to run and won then the sitting president will be a lame duck cause he is more popular and powerful....lol it will be a nightmare...hahaha a likely scenario (if he won), if the president popularity hits a low then the populace may initiate a power people replacing him and who is next in line Duterte. I don't like that scenario and neither is Duterte cause long term instead of improving our political institution it may weaken it.

Interesting that would mean if it all goes according to plan you would have 12 more years of Duterte like domestic/foreign policies being introduced. Might be enough to erode away quiet some of the US influence in the Philippines. Time will tell how things will go.

@BlackWindMnt bro the younger Marcos is a Nationalist having knew the true color (interest) of the American the hard way after his experiences in exile and the persecution of his family name. While the daughter is a carbon copy of the father with more firmness and courageous. So your hypothesis is spot on. In Duterte's mind this plan of action ( six years is not enough to tackle a structural problem) will legitimized his legacy and may eradicate the oligarchy in the Philippine. The main reason, this pandemic decimate their businesses and can't contribute much, while the American intervention is in limbo due to problem of who to support. There are to many candidates and the only chance for the opposition to win is by cheating and it may happen as SMARTMATIC the voting machine provider is owned by Dominion in the US.

Haha the Americans played a good game, the last couple of decades they have demolished the reputation of polling. Now they can control democracies with their voting machines. So if 70% polls for party X, but party Y wins they can just say sorry but the polls have been inaccurate for decades now.
