Interesting Huxijin take on competition between US and China in SEA

As China's power grows faster and the power gap between the US and China narrows, not only Singapore but other countries in Southeast Asia are moving towards a neutral position.

Here is the interview in question
Speaking at the virtual Aspen Security Forum, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said "no good" can arise from a conflict between the US and China. He said it's vital for them to engage each other to head off a clash, which would be disastrous For both sides and the world. Subscribe to our channel here:

Stating the blinking obvious really. And let's not forget, it was never China that seek confrontation. So if that's the case, who's Lee addressing? Answers on the postcard.

If Global Times are going to do English language videos, they have to ensure the English is easily intelligible

In written form that is fine.

But if the accent is too strong, the actual message gets lost
Very few ppl are eloquent or demagogue enough to convince ppl with oratory and even the you tubers who have had some success already benefit from an audience which largely agrees with them anyhow.

Sure, Hu could employ one of us bilingual and native english speaking shitposters but being the decentralised nature of the future of media means that the average audience is going to get their news from multiple sources and a few radio/tv/youtube hosts. Twitter user Carl Zhao for eg is far more effective in conveying China's msg than china's media apparatus although i am heartened to see more Chinese officials clapping back on twitter.

Then all the more to cultivate a group of eloquent orators.

Remember, an eloquent Carl Zhao would be far more effective.

At the moment, his interviewees carry much of the conversation because they are easy to listen to.

The only way out for Germany is to do a military exercise with China and Russia against a NATO like enemy; if they want to truly show a balanced and neutral stance, that would be the right way to go.
Anything else at this stage is simply pro anglo and with it, should come sanctions similar to those enacted against the UK if the teutons also ban huawei
