I tend to think that we have accorded too much compliment to Israel for alleged assistance to China.
Well, some assistance might have been given to China in the past, but it probably stopped with the failed delivery of the AWAC fiasco.
Since then Israel has stood at the opposite side of China in many instances, and it will stay that way as it is basically the American hit-man and bully in the ME.
Arming the Indian armed forces is one example. Stealing the Chinese COVID vaccine is the latest.
OTOH Iran has been a friend to China all along, and I don't recall any instance when Iran had betrayed Chinese interests.
Relationship between the two countries will only bloom further with the BRI projects and the lifting of the UN sanctions. I hope China will arm Iran to their teeth to deter American aggression and to uplift the living standards of the great Iranian people.

Quote from the Global Times news:

" The Israeli Embassy in China clarified with the Global Times on Wednesday that the Israeli government has not confirmed, supported or approved any information on the internet alleging that Israel's intelligence service Mossad had brought a Chinese COVID-19 vaccine to Israel to study and learn from it.

The information was reported by Israeli media. Some media claimed that multiple Israeli government sources have indirectly confirmed the information, but did not clarify how the Mossad obtained the vaccines.

In response, the embassy said in a statement to the Global Times that the original Israeli reports were based on information provided by independent Israeli news outlets, which were never confirmed or supported, or approved by the Israeli government.

If the Israeli government would be interested in exchanging knowledge about developing vacancies, it would approach and collaborate with our Chinese friends in an official way under the mechanism of the China-Israel Innovative Comprehensive Partnership, Erez Katz Volovelsky, the embassy spokesperson, said in the statement.

"Assumptions about an interest of Mossad in the Chinese vaccine should be taken as a great compliment to the Chinese scientists and China's technological abilities, as the Israeli people believe that only the best and most esteemed developments would enjoy this type of attention by Mossad," Volovelsky said.

The news also became a hot topic on Chinese social media on Wednesday with netizens wondered how Mossad obtained the vaccines if the reports are true. Some joked that at least the reports proved that Chinese-developed COVID-19 vaccines are good enough so that even foreign intelligence agencies wanted to get them. "

Reading between the lines. the Israeli embassy spokesperson did not deny the news.

Well you don't expect an intelligence service to say "Ya, we stole it".

France sells weapons to Taiwan, but unlike the five eyes and many other EU countries, they ignore sanctions, and trade a lot of technology sensitive to China. In the past, France sold to China many weapons and transferred a lot of technology. They are not noisy, trying to provoke and insult China such as the Czech Republic, Brazil, Turkey.

Similarly, Israel simply wants to make money, but without as many options as France, they have to follow the will of the United States (the country that supports them politically, economically, militarily ...). Among America's allies, israel was a case of a minority who did not actively fight against China.

If you look at the problem with pragmatism, Israel and France are really friends of China

France used to have a more independent foreign policy when Chirac was President. Back then France did the nuclear tests in the Pacific come hell or high water. More recently this is less so. You can see it by France refusing to deliver the Mistrals to Russia. The ships were already built and had the aviation component, the Russians had even ran some trials. They had paid for the ships. In the old days France sold weapons to basically anyone as long as they paid. Sometimes even to both sides in the same war. Unfortunately Gaulism is dead in France.
