The Trump administration is 100% considering fabricating a 'Gulf of Tonkin' like incident, there would be no neutral witnesses at sea and he can start a limited war claiming righteous self-defence. It is honestly not a question of if but a question of whether he can convince the members of USN to his side.

Several "experts" in this article thinks that us navy can destroy the whole of China airforce and navy in scs in a couple of hours lol, also another hk based experts said the us could occupied fiery cross bases with couple hundred of us marines lol good luck on supplying those marines

Best comedy gold was another expert claimed that the us can shoot down Chinese icbms with laser cannons, where did they find these "experts"?

Do you guys think japan and south korea is crazy enough to let the us put this super long range cannons into their territory knowing that it can used as pre emptive first strike against China?

If they do then these countries truly are vassal states with no independence whatsoever in the truest sense of definition

In the China-bashing community. Everyone is an expert on China. Gordon Chang is an 'expert'. Steve Bannon is an 'expert'. Adrian Zenz is an 'expert'. We are getting lots of 'experts' on China these days.

The USN and USMC will be fighting on the home turf of one of the world's superpowers. Just like Hitler predicting a quick war with the Soviets before winter sets in, US and friends are going to get the same experience with China. It won't be over by Christmas. That's for sure.

Sadly, these countries are US vassal states. The question that matters is to what degree will they sell themselves out to please their master. In Europe you have the same situation, a lot of countries with limited sovereignty that might risk their own well being to please their master for short term gains.

Crucially, the author hasn't considered how China can develop its own cannons with a range of 1000 miles

With a 1000mile range, China-based cannons can cover the entire 1st Island Chain (Japan/Korea/Taiwan/Philippines).
Then the next available landmasses are in the 2nd Island Chain, and Guam doesn't have much land area to work with.

In comparison, cannons based on the 1st Island Chain have a limited land area to work with.
Plus they can only cover Coastal China, leaving the Chinese interior untouched.

We'd be looking at something like huge artillery duels, except that China has a large number of safe rear areas, whilst the 1st Island Chain is under constant bombardment.
So how is the 1st Island Chain going to be resupplied by cargo ships and cargo aircraft, if their ports and runways are under constant artillery bombardment?

---

So China should welcome the development of low-cost projectiles launched from "Strategic Long Range Cannons", as China should be able to develop and field a comparable hypersonic weapon system, and geography favours China in the Western Pacific.

Plus the Chinese version should cost less AND the Chinese military budget would be far larger in 10 years time.

Lol 1000 miles with some guided shells = enters orbit.

China needs to make it clear that any attack on SCS islands will be taken as seriously as an assault on the mainland and retaliation will be beyond Guam and vassal states.

I don't know about that, the islands are to protect the mainland, and thus are strategic but not as important as mainland cities, for example...

If SCS islands get nuked tactically, China needs to nuke Guam and Diego Garcia as well...
