This unmanned helicopter would be perfect to extend the surveillance of type 56
But at 450 kg is a bit too light need bigger one that can carry more load(dipping sonar) and or sonobuoy

China is promoting an unmanned reconnaissance/combat helicopter in the international market, further expanding the scope of its military drones offered to foreign buyers.
Well Hendrik seems to me like the AV500W would compare somewhat to the US MQ8B Fire Scout. Well maybe on the small side even compared to the B, Payload wise it's roughly half.
If I was to push that analog then the Z11 which is roughly equal to the Bell 407 would be a good point of start for a MQ8C equivalent

Z-11WB armed scout...

For the love of god, how many times do you need to be told not to post GIFs? Just look at the poor quality of your GIF: only 400 pixels wide and grainier than television from the 1930s. Yet, the file size was over six megabytes. Do you know how severely it affects page rendering?

If you have a video to share, provide a link, but do NOT make it into a GIF. Let me repeat again, if you have a video to share, provide a link, but do NOT make it into a GIF.

sounds like a competitor for the AW609 although less capable in cargo and passengers.

China and Russia have made progress in talks to produce a new model of heavy-lift helicopters, a well-placed Chinese source said Wednesday.

The two sides have reached consensus on technical terms, split of responsibilities, and a roadmap to implement the project, said Huang Chuanyue, deputy chief engineer of Avicopter, the helicopter arm of the state-owned Aviation Industry Corp. of China (AVIC).

Avicopter’s partner is Russian Helicopters. The two agreed to cooperate on the project in 2015. A year later, the two governments signed a deal, giving the project the go-ahead.

Huang revealed the latest development at a helicopter industry forum held in the city of Tianjin.

He said the new helicopters will be made primarily to meet the needs of Chinese clients.

The helicopter will be designed with a take-off weight of 38 tonnes, with internal cargo capacity of 10 tonnes and external sling capacity of 15 tonnes. It will be able to fly over plateaus higher than 3,000 meters and maneuver among mountains, Huang said.

The helicopter will be fitted with aero-engines on a par with those on Russia’s Mi-26, he added.
