I've wondered about this question for ages but why is the area around the gun port of every Flanker aircraft not painted?

I think it's because that part is metal (maybe titanium) and is designed to shield the plane from the gun blast and heat. Any paint there could be stripped away when the gun fires, so why bother? IIRC titanium is also notorious for being hard to paint.

I really don't understand how they come to this conclusion, when it's spotted at the 26th Brigade's base and the serial number is clearly fitting!??

Nope ... just look closely: canted tails, no pitot, low visibility markings

J-16D??

Some misunderstandings, I think they said that PLAAF already has seven brigades equipped with J-16 fighters. The fighter serial numbers in the picture belong to the 26th Brigade of PLAAF, it's the seventh equipped J16 fighters of brigades.
