Su-30MKK's radar. I don't recall a photo of the radar has ever been released before (by China). Maybe retirement time is quickly approaching?

You mean officially? We’ve seen J-11B’s radar officially before. Unofficially we’ve seen photos of J-10B/J-10C’s radar.

Either way the twist cassegrain radar on the MK2 is a huge liability for PLANAF, so much so that they are relying on a medium weight like the J-10AN as the backbone for medium range combat.

I think the point is - regardless if officially or not - it is the first clear image of a PLAAF's MKK radar.

I don't recall seeing any official image of MKK's radar before. An image of J-11B's, J-10B/C's, or even J-20's radar has been leaked before, but not MKK's as far as I can recall, and certainly not 'officially'.

Worth mentioning that the majority of Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese fighter strength flies ~similar, pre-electronic array radars.
Even bulk of USAF fighting strength(f-16 units) still is.

Majority of those listed certainly do not fly with twist cassegrain arrays. They fly with slotted planar arrays. Which are the next generation concept, after twist cassegrain. And can still be quite potent, paired with modern back end radar electronics and software. Even the Eurofighter (for the most part) still uses a slotted planar array.

Yes, an alleged image of J-20's radar was leaked almost eight years ago. Not the whole radar, just the lower left (blue) edges along with some exposed elements that matched a previously seen engineering drawing. Nothing 'officially official', of course. I've shared the image here before, and it can also be found on Huitong's website.

I think the more appropriate statement would be "alleged J-20 radar". For J-10B/J-10C we've actually seen the radar mounted on the aircraft.

That said, let's get back on topic.
