While not typically anything special on these PLANAF Su-30MK2s, except that they are carrying PL-12s now. So the Russian combat management systems and avionics have been modified or changed to use Chinese ordnance?

This is an old development. Russian Su-30s in PLA service have been integrated with Chinese ordnance years ago.

Hi is it a norm to patrol near the hostile or semi hostile borders with only couple of aam looks like short range missile should have at least a pair of bvrs also if I’m not wrong
Your input will be appreciated on this further

The pictures I posted just underneath show the exact opposite. Only a couple of long range BVRAAM and no short range AAM at all.

Hanging a couple of short range AAM would be indicative of a defensive posture, and wouldn't raise to many hackles in a slightly more "prickly" environment...
