New or re-posted photo of J-11D?

A few updates:
- Henri K. seems to think that either the Su-35 or J-11D (but not both?) will be procured en masse
- Others believe that the J-11D program has been merely delayed and might be undergoing structural and powerplant enhancements
- A CJDBY mod "angadow" is speaking of a "J-11 Block 4" coming up

There could be a "J-11D" upgrade standard for existing J-11s even if production of new airframes does not go ahead. Obviously such upgrade would be limited to systems and perhaps engines, with little to no airframe modification.

The production run of any J-11D or Su-35 should be quite limited given maturation of J-20. J-15 and J-16 production will be relevant over a longer timeframe.

J-11B AESA upgrades are already underway (a few grey radomes were spotted on 11Bs a while back).

The J-11D fiasco could have a few outcomes:
1. J-11D would continue to evolve to keep up with current PLAAF demands. It would enter service later than expected and might not have as long a production run as initially planned. (most likely)
2. J-11D would enter service in its current configuration, despite delays. (least likely)
3. J-11D would be axed indefinitely and Su-35 would take its place. (virtually impossible)
4. J-11D would be axed indefinitely and J-16 would take its place. (virtually impossible)

Not sure if we can conclude from these few grainy images, that they already have an AESA refitted ?

The J-11D fiasco could have a few outcomes:

Why a fiasco ?? The first prototype flew only on April 29, 2015 while the first Su-35 flew on 19. February 2008; so there's no surprise that the Su-35 is a bit more evolved or already service-ready.

Remains different Su-35 existed but Russian AF could not buy them and also a part of the first need to go to factory for enough big problems info discovery after, delay of a year for "IOC".

But that is a different issue: Fact is the Su-35S came out much earlier and as such became ready for service much earlier. To compare them with the J-11D and say the D is a fiasco even if it barely flew only two years ago, is IMO a bit over-critical.

Just to remind: How long did we have to wait the J-10B or J-16 to enter service ?? And are they failures or fiascos too ?
