Will China will park these on one of the artificial islands in the South China Sea?

I agree. I've always seen the J-15 as a stopgag measure for PLAN until fifth gen carrier fighters are ready.

I very seldom dis-agree with you siege as you are a very bright lad, but the J-15 is a very serious airplane. I believe this will be the fleet air defence bird for the foreseeable future, and the USN clinging to the Super Bug negates any great hurry to bring a fifth gen onboard the Liaoning or any follow on flat top. It seems to me that the Chinese have kooled on the flat-top rush??? MONEY, as I stated when China started to operate the Liaoning, I couldn't wait for China to start spending the "cubic money" required to seriously develop and bring a carrier up to speed.

The USN continue to drag their collective rear ends when it comes to fifth gen manned aircraft such as the F-35C, but they seem rather "enamored" of the X-47B, no doubt China is paying very close attention, having said that I believe the J-15 has entered small batch production LRIP. I'm thinking that they may aim for an initial 12 aircraft to operate from the Liaoning, much as the Russians are limiting PAK-FA production to 12 for an initial test squadron. I just don't see the Chinese rushing to put the FC-31 or any other fifth gen carrier bird into development at present???
