The entire project include the building of atleast 3 new "naval air stations" , plus 3 homeports renovation/upgrade/new build. most of them is finished.

It might be performing the same role as the MKK, but the radar and avionics are almost certainly far newer and better and would have also incorportated the airframe refinements that the J11B had over the Su27SK.wait wait wait...it's 2012 now and they just came up something equivalent to MKK that they got 12 years ago? Shenyang is really going backwards if this is true.
