Hopefully the VAF will be impressed by planes from China, thus will consider more weapons from PRC. One area PRC is exceeding (IMO) Russia is in telecommunications.

Venezuela needs a secure communication system, the Americans greatest asset is electronic warfare. Its no good buying SU 30s, Kilo's etc when effective EW can weaken their impact on battlefield.

zuhe, we read in the news that Chavez is looking for a total of 40 K-8s, is that going to happen. Also, are they actually going for L-15s?

What is the big fat white thing on aircraft. Is it extra fuel belly tank or big gun pod?

It sure looked like a gun pod. Notice the little black thing protruded from the front? It look like the barrel.

When the K-8 were presented in Venezuela in the 2001 the rumors they were of 50 K-8, now they are indicated 40.

In the inaguración the Chinese offered the L-15 recalls that both airplanes are manufactured for the same one compañia.

The interest by the L exists-15 and the JF-17/FC-1, although officially themselves has been said directly nothing.
