Hassabis deliberately brought up some trending tech topics at the time, and Zuckerberg showed the same enthusiasm he had for LLM programs. At that moment, Hassabis realized that Zuckerberg was simply chasing trends.

Funny enough They were the first to really get into the AI game in China , yet they are now lagging behind everybody else . Lmao. Even in search they were never able to really dominate even in China completely and never stepped foot outside China. Seriously, they have been by far the weakest and most useless among all Chinese big tech companies of the former internet era (BAT).

yeah they have lost to Alibaba, Tencent and Bytedance but now they are waking up and transitioning into Ai, clouds and chip design..

their major success came with Ai chip design Kunlun this sector doing remarkably well for the company and winning orders from major tech companies. plans to spin off and list Kunlunxin Technology in Hong Kong and Shanghai SE for further development and to gain market share in Ai chips.
