Anti-Ship missile

I want to know which is the most advance anti-ship missile China has

I'm asking because sino-defense has no information on C-803 and C-805

I think the ramjet powered SS-N-22 Sunburn is the most capable Chinese anti-ship missile currently deployed.

Those new anti-ship missiles are highly diffcult for bigger ships (Carrier) to intercept due to their speed (close to Mach 3).

in terms of speed, Moskit is probably the best (mach 2.5), maybe higher with the ones equipped on 956EM
in terms of terminal speed, Klub-S is the best (mach 2.9)
in terms of range, YJ-62 is the best (280KM+ lo-lo )
in terms of guidance and accuracy, who knows? apparently, the YJ-83 were really accurate in the Russian-China exercise.

hard to intercept all of them. We are talking about mach3-4 SAMs vs mach2.9 missiles.

Chinese AShm has like 2 or 3 times the range of Harpoon. No one knows how far domestic YJ-62 can travel or how fast it can travel. I'm personally guess 300KM+ lo-lo and probably mach2.0 in terminal stage.

That is if Chinese vessels get close enough to launch their missiles at a carrier battle group

Has the ESSM and SEARAM ever been tested against a incoming SS-N-22 Sunburn or is this discussion just the good old american "we are invincible"-discussion as always?


I guess that if the SS-N-22 avoids all countermeasures your president will just call God mighty himself, from the lastest gossip in the media Mr Bush seems to get orders from him all the time! I do not feel safer at all when the president of the USA tells everybody that he is hearing voices in his head..... But it is a good way to blame somebody else

US navy regulary practices shooting down target drones that flies a "sunburn" type flight profile.

The faster the missile, the bigger it is, the bigger it is, the easier it is to spot.

How are the guidance system on these missiles?
Can they tell the difference between a destroy, 6 chaff clouds, 1 heli eminating a radar signiture of a destroyer, and a couple of decoys, while simultaneously being Jammed and shot at. Since the missiles are fast, can they discriminate and acquire the right target within 30 seconds.

There is more to anti-missile defence than shooting down the missile.

The real problem is jamming, not decoy.
