If the IRS are militarising, that can only mean the USG is forced to squeeze the citizenry to balance the budget as opposed to getting loans from foreign buyers of US debt.
American elites are in a race against the natural forces that call for revolution and social upheaval and looks like their play is instigating worldwide conflicts to beggar their peers.

Yup, when you can no longer tax the rest of the world (quantitative easing by way of petrodollar hegemony) then you have to tax your own domestic citizenry...

US couldnt harvest China in a plaza accord 2.0, so have to turn on their own now....

Raising crops to make Ethanol fuel is one of the worst programs to ever exist in the world period.
Especially since those corn yields were only because of the use of fertilizers, pesticides and water irrigation that themselves were derived from and used petroluem based resources...

Its worse than the idea of opening your refrigerator door to try to cool down your house after your central AC broke, thermodynamically speaking etc

IRL - actual photo I took this afternoon in New York City. I never thought I’d see the day a Chinese construction equipment manufacturer’s (LiuGong) excavator operating in the United States. This market has always been dominated by Caterpillar, Deere or even Japanese manufactures at a smaller level(Komatsu, Hitachi)

Musk is anticipating a slow down in his country's economy hence the freeze on hiring and cutting some staff that are part of legacy hirees of companies who were bought/swallowed up by Tesla. Some of the folks who were let go may have been a list of folks that were underperforming, people that were close to retirement age, plus a possible consolidation of engineers to form a more agile, flexible group getting rid of excess overhead. It's pretty much the standard practice of most corporations and these are just guesses that am stating here.
