It is funny that Republicans have been most vocal about the presidential power of the executive branch but somehow they all would remain silence if it is done by one of their own.
Hi KYli,

Its a campaign tactic of Trump, since he bungle both the CV and economic respond. He want to show that HE alone is THE MAN can able to save America from his own blunder. And the ironic thing is The American will foolishly believed it and don't hold him accountable for what he had done.

The Carl Sagan quote, from the 1995 book "The Demon Haunted World" reads:

"I have a foreboding of an America in my children's or grandchildren's time -- when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what's true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness..

The dumbing down of American is most evident in the slow decay of substantive content in the enormously influential media, the 30 second sound bites (now down to 10 seconds or less), lowest common denominator programming, credulous presentations on pseudoscience and superstition, but especially a kind of celebration of ignorance

If this is what you get for supporting Trump and his efforts to contain and hurt China. The Canadians better come up with another plan, pretty pronto!

Empires eventually overextend and fall apart... taxing its vassals more and more and giving them less and less in return. I think we are approaching that critical point of inflection...

I don't know what kind of weird crap goes through American's heads in this economy but I just heard 2 of the stupidest economic ideas in recent memory:

1. Parents apparently bear no responsibility to their own kids so the government should pay parents to teach kids at home:

2. Can't pay rent? Getting evicted? Blackmail your landlord and tell him that he could either go to court for months before the police can come drag your deadbeat ass out or (forgive all your debt and) pay you a crisp $1,000 to leave. Without a doubt, the intent behind that is to take that money so you can fool your next victim landlord into thinking that you are a gainfully-employed law-abiding member of society, thereby accepting your tenancy, so you start the parasitic cycle again.
