Hi all, first post long time viewer, I thing the ford is going to be another bench mark, for all of us all to admire, I cant wait for her to put to sea along side QE class in joint exercise.

Yes, the Ford class is going to be a real benchmark for carrier innovation and progress. She and her sisters will set the standard for the next 75 years in all likelihood...IOW, until long after I am dead and gone.
I just hope I can long enough live to see another USS Enterprise take to the seas! Give me another ten years and I believe we will see that.
Well, while we continue to wait for pics from the INS Vikrant undocking, I thought I would give a few pictures of the other newer Indian Carrier, the INS Vikramaditya, which was refurbished from the Russian Gorshkov into a STOBAR carrier and has been operational for some time now.
We see her exercising fairly regularly and with more and more Mig-29Ks aboard. I have seen up to seven aboard at one time now:

Okay, some friends in India have been checking into this and they tell me that the undocking of the Vikrant is probably still a couple of days away because of a dredging effort to address a dry dock gate hinge glitch of some type. Nothing associated with the vessel itself.
