Israel has carried out the biggest reshuffle of Iran's military high command in history
Bet you 5 bucks that Israel has targeted those where their replacements are all going to be Mossad's agents.

Bet you another 5 bucks, that after this war, Mossad penetration into Iran's military and other top positions will be even stronger and more significant than before this short conflict happened

Can't see a way out except firing everyone and starting from scratch lol

The Israelis think they are still fighting the Arabs in 60s-70s, just kill a bunch of commanders and the whole war is over, the Issue with the Iranian command is that they are bond by ideology, they see themselves as martyrs, they entire army is built like an hydra. Killing a commander will only bring to the top more radical, younger and ambitious willing to fight even more.
I give it to the Israelis, they sure exploited Iran naivete of allowing Mossad friendly Modi Indians nationals running their IT and their lack of counterintelligence against Afghans nationals.
Also for a country portrayed by the US as "the biggest sponsor of terrorism", is very surprising, at least to me, that the Iranians didn't have operators to attack Israeli assets and key Israeli people abroad. If Israel did the same to the Saudis, they wouldn't be safe anywhere in the world.

I think like one of the recent general that was thought to be dead but was alive, there could be more that are actually alive but not gonna reappear.
It's crazy! Some of these names are absolute legends in Iran and to allow them to die like this is such an embarrassment.
They got fooled by that fake call true but Iranian-shia mentality would make them hereos/martyrs that died because of a 'dishonourable weak attack during negotiations' This accidental shuffling of the old-guards with the new blood that will come might be a good thing.

One of the iranian nuclear scientist's interview I watched (he and his entire family got murdered by mossad now) but he was saying that yeah he has a job'position and he works but he was taught the younger people under him everything, its upto them now, even if we are gone he is confident they wont be crippled'

Some of these commanders are not theoretical (no combat experience), they are battle commanders (they fought against Iraq in the 80s). This is a shame especially the way the head of intelligence died.

For those unaware, Israeli intelligence used a fake phone call to trick top Iranian air force commanders into meeting in a single location before they were eliminated in a targeted strike, according to a commentator on Israel’s Channel 12.

In a statement confirmed to the Jewish Chronicle by Israeli sources, Amit Segal told the Call Me Back podcast on Monday: “What Israel did was create a fake phone call for 20 top air force commanders, summoning them to a specific bunker in Tehran.”

That meant there was no one to give the order to fire the initial salvo of 1,000 ballistic missiles, as Iran had previously threatened, he added.

According to sources familiar with the operation, the Mossad began a targeted disinformation effort days before the attack.

Using spoofed communications through Iranian channels, they simulated what appeared to be an emergency meeting.

The ruse successfully lured the entire senior leadership of the IRGC Aerospace Force, including Commander General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, his deputies and key technical personnel, to a fortified bunker on the outskirts of Tehran.

Moments before the attack began, the bunker was hit by precision bombing, eliminating Iran’s top missile command.

Israeli officials say the goal was clear: to prevent the launch of what were believed to be more than 1,000 ballistic missiles aimed at Israeli territory. There was absolutely no one alive to give the order to retaliate.

Immediately after this, Israel launched a sweeping campaign across Tehran and other strategic areas, targeting missile sites, infrastructure and air defense systems.

A senior Israeli security official told Fox News that Israel successfully eliminated most of the IRGC air force leadership in the June 13 strike.

“We conducted targeted activities to help us learn more about them and then used that information to influence their behavior,” the official said. “We knew that would lead them to gather, but more importantly, we knew how to keep them there.”

The strike was even more effective than expected, the official said. He added that the impact of the strike on the commanders was compounded when Israel used drones to destroy air defense systems and ballistic missiles across the country shortly thereafter.

Actually sounds like proper nationalist propaganda if they're spreading it via podcast.

Did people think Iran had such high military readiness to launch 1000 missiles at a moment's notice?
If they were taken off guard by a sneak attack?

Yeah it is just BS. Iran don't typically strike immediately anyway. They consider their response first then they do it. At least with regards to the missile strikes I saw no delay.

In prior operations by Iran they also use less missiles on later waves after breaking the defenses. So I think the claim by Israel they damaged loads of launchers and missiles is BS. The Iranian air defense is way more questionable though. If it couldn't knock down at least one aircraft in a bombing raid on a known target it is kind of weak.

Sure the US gave advance notice. I would still knock those bomber aircraft down. Make it such a debacle the US would never try that stunt again.

For Iran to avoid joining Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria as beaten-down societies with blighted futures, it must put Persia in a museum and join the modern world as a self-interested nation-state aloof from the poisonous conflicts among its neighbors to the West. This means taking a hard look at a map and choosing where its future lies, no regrets and no recriminations. FM Abbas Araghchi and DM Aziz Nasirzadeh understand this. Will the remainder of Iran's complex governance join them...
