That's not the worst. Remember the time when they openly accuse the Chinese women gymnastic team member of being under aged without any solid evidence. Just based on looks and stature. Well yeah asians look younger than westerners. And on average gymnasts are short as it's advantageous to have lower center of gravity.
Oh yeah, that was totally brutal.
To be fair, two of them were proven to be underage eventually.

However, I have a great distaste for the American teams and the media complicity. The doggedness in which they pursued this gymnastics scandal (over 10 years), all the while their own US coach is calling Chinese people "half-people", and later revealed to be a pedo-shelterer.

As a Canadian, my own government's treatment of Ben Johnson was abhorrent. To make Canadians feel better about themselves, the government created a whole committee to basically villainize the man. Meanwhile the USA covered up Carl Lewis' stimulant use and always tries to cover up first (Justin Gatlin, Marion Jones), then only accept blame when the evidence is too overwhelming. Even then, Gatlin was given a sweetheart deal to overturn his ban.

I mean, you're not technically supposed to spy on someone to know what they can do. From all public records, the Filipino is incapable of anything close to this. On competition day, it may be seen that something is not as expected as she is making big lifts with ease but since Liao left the last lift to her opponent with only a 3kg increase, it indicates to me that perhaps because no one knew that this competition would be a challenge, Liao did not train herself to the intensity that she could have because she did not expect any fierce resistance and was thus not prepared to lift bigger. If she was, she should have really kicked up her clean and jerk to the max when she saw Diaz make her first 119 with ease, which indicates vast improvement as she opened with a score higher than all except one of her previous finals.

Never knew weightlifting was so strategic!

Ahh these unlucky streaks are happening too damn often.

Meng Wei is the world record holder (and qualifying world record holder!) in women's skeet shooting.

She came into this and blew through the competition during qualifiers again, equaling her previous qualifying world record.

Then during the finals (medaling) she has her worst performance ever..

This is some really unlucky stuff. Diving, table tennis, multiple shooting and archery events, many of the qualifiers during rowing and other similar types where Chinese set world records or place first in qualifiers.... you'd almost think someone is poisoning them with something right before the finals lol...

Only joking, but maybe they should be checked just in case haha.

This guy wasn't shy showing his China Hong Kong flag. He wears it on his heart with pride.

China Hong Kong proudly display on his heart. No excuses about sponsorship. Etc.

Apparently, his father used to be a policeman, and played basketball for the police team.

The only thing is they gave the gold flowers to the Italians by mistake, causing this Hong Kong lady viewer to hyperventilating. Lol

People on social media are going mental in Hong Kong. All my cousins, nieces and nephews and friends are posting on it.

I was scrolling through the different events and I happen to see a Hong Kong fencer narrowly lost a preliminary match to a European fencer despite having a big lead in the beginning. Is he that same athlete? If so it's a great comeback to win the gold medal.

If it's any consolation, China cleaned up at the recent Math Olympiad, having the only student to get a perfect score. And, as usual, the American, Canadian, and Australian teams were also full of Chinese lul.

This is what really counts, hopefully these Chinese students will make advances in quantum computing and nuclear energy for the Chinese technology sector.

If anyone are in any doubt. This video shows it. Here in the shopping mall in Hong Kong. The big screen celebrate the achievement of Hong Kong's only gold medal for over 25 years. In what should be Hong Kong's biggest sporting achievement in years. A time for celebration and not politics.

Oh no. You get a section of the crowd booing the national anthem and shouting we are Hong Kong. What a bunch of loosers. So I'm afraid it's still a work in progress to weed these traitors out.

Well, this is Japan. As the ancient Chinese saying goes, "If you have a duel scheduled tomorrow with a Japanese, then today, only eat things your wife cooks for you." Huo Yuanjia knows what I'm talkin' bout LOL

I jest as well. I think the Chinese team brought thier own food, no? All foul play aside, you certainly don't want to eat random things there and end up testing positive for something in the meat used to raise livestock.

Or just use the U.S.A. way of sorting the medal table by counting the medal counts only, with the caveat that medals from track and field events be excluded for whatever reason you can think of.
