Could you provide a link to the original post?

We've been anticipating the land-attack YJ-18 but haven't seen it in the rehearsals yet.

I saw them at the scene of the 3rd rehearsal and the caster clearly said 鹰击18与鹰击18甲型 and 对地攻击能力, which means "YJ-18 and YJ-18A" and "capable for land attack", in the loudspeaker.

Can't provide any more evidence except a photo of my note. Since all recording and filming devices were strictly prohibited, the only thing I can rely on was my handwritten notes taken at that night.

wait, why i can't upload photo now…

Something you will see in the parade:

A new rifle.
Some new headgears

NO.2: ZTZ-15 MBT.
NO.5: A new type of moduled MRLS.
NO.7: Vehicles for special forces, ATV, 2-man mini helicopter.
NO.10: YJ-18 and YJ-18A(land attack mod)
NO.12: Fold-able long range warning radar.
NO.16-19: PLASSF assets.
NO.20: Unmanned supersonic reconnaissance drones, looks like drone-ized SR-71.
NO.21: Large Attack Drones. One is CH-5, now officially named 攻击二型(Attack-2). The other is a stealthy radar hunter.
NO.22: Comm, SAT relay, recon, ECM drones, and some UUVs.

PLARF got some super cool new rockets.
NO.25: DF-17, the shape of warhead indicates hypersonic gliding capability.
NO.26: CJ-100 cruise missile.
NO.28: Launching Cannister of JL-2.
NO.31: TELs of DF-41.

PLAAF formations:
NO.33: KJ-500, KJ-200, Chinese verson of E-8 J-star, on a Y-8 platform.
NO.34: Naval AWACS and anti-sub planes.
NO.37: H-6N, with air-refuelling capability.
NO.40: J-20+J-16+J-10C.

Thanks, much of that makes sense.

Of particular interest which we have observed and/or speculated:

No. 10 -- land attack YJ-18 variant. We know YJ-18 is going to make an appearance at the parade but we have yet to know if the long awaited land attack variant will be present. Of the YJ-18 models we've seen on rehearsal, they were covered in tarps but they appear consistent with the standard anti ship variant. Is it possible that they only showed the anti ship YJ-18 variant but was announcing that the standard anti ship YJ-18 had a land attack capability (as opposed to the dedicated YJ-18 land attack variant)?

No. 21 -- you wrote about CH-5 there being present in the form of GJ-2. However, for about a year now we've seen the Wing Loong II in service as GJ-2. It would be a surprise if CH-5 was in service as GJ-2. Is it possible you've mixed up Wing Loong II and CH-5?

Yes complain that China is not transparent and when they are transparent, complain China is expressing aggression. As usual it's just an excuse to complain no matter what. What they want is a China that can't do anything to defend itself from their aggression. They won't admit the truth because then no one would ever listen.

No, they are not that stupid. What they really want is for China to publish how it is using its defense budgets, and what military acquisition/procurement projects it's working on. This is so that they can strategically peg their own research and development to counter what China is doing. For them, what they fear the most is that they have to take really hard guesses at what China is working on, and every once in a while, China would suddenly display something that is beyond their calculation/expectation.

1.The voice in loudseapker said YJ-18 and YJ-18A. I think we will hear the same on Oct.1.

2. Yes, I am wrong. My brain is a little bit fried because of staying up for 48 hrs. You are right Bltizo, it was a Wing Loong-2. I just somehow typoed it to CH5.

2019_0914_Unknown 5-axial TEL.jpg Is this DF-17? I can't image what else it could be. If it's indeed DF-17, then it's likely a hypersonic glide vehicle, which would be the first one in its kind in the world.

Oh wow, you were at the actual event?

That's nice; did you notice a difference in shape between the anti-ship YJ-18 and the land-attack YJ-18A?
