@Mohsin77

Stop this ! This thread is to discuss the recent Indian-Pakistani clash and NOT to divert into a general discussion on Islamic extremists/ terrorists.

Otherwise - even if I'm well aware that one can barely separate this issue from general political content - I would like to remind all: Please refrain from general political posts.

If one would like to discuss this, please go search for another forum and continue there ... but not here.

For my own taste this is already a too-hot topic and I would prefer to close it.

Statement by Foreign Secretary on 26 February 2019 on the Strike on JeM training camp at Balakot
February 26, 2019

On 14 February 2019, a suicide terror attack was conducted by a Pak based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammad, leading to the martyrdom of 40 brave jawans of the CRPF. JeM has been active in Pakistan for the last two decades, and is led by MASOOD AZHAR with its headquarters in Bahawalpur.

This organization, which is proscribed by the UN, has been responsible of a series of terrorist attacks including on the Indian Parliament in December 2001 and the Pathankot airbase in January 2016.

Information regarding the location of training camps in Pakistan and PoJK has been provided to Pakistan from time to time. Pakistan, however, denies their existence. The existence of such massive training facilities capable of training hundreds of jihadis could not have functioned without the knowledge of Pakistan authorities.

India has been repeatedly urging Pakistan to take action against the JeM to prevent jihadis from being trained and armed inside Pakistan. Pakistan has taken no concrete actions to dismantle the infrastructure of terrorism on its soil.

Credible intelligence was received that JeM was attempting another suicide terror attack in various parts of the country, and the fidayeen jihadis were being trained for this purpose. In the face of imminent danger, a preemptive strike became absolutely necessary."

Pakistanis have a issue with facts.

New Delhi: The Indian Air Force is recommending Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman for the wartime gallantry medal Vir Chakra for shooting down an F-16 in aerial conflict with Pakistan.

While Abhinandan is being recommended for the Vir Chakra, the 12 Mirage-2000 pilots who bombed targets in Pakistan are being recommended for the Vayu Sena Medal for their acts of bravery, government sources said."

About time Pakistan reveals the truth about the shotdown f16.

"Indian MiG-21s and other fighters intercepted the Pakistanis and shot down one F-16, killing its pilot, according to the Indian government. Islamabad claimed its forces shot down two MiG-21s, but New Delhi copped to losing just one jet.

Pakistani forces captured the MiG-21 pilot, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, and held him for two days before

to Indian officials.
India's MiG-21s, while featuring some key upgrades, still are more than 30 years old. The Pakistani F-16 that the Indians shot down reportedly was a Block 52D model that Islamabad in 2005 ordered from the United States."

Interesting article. It coincides with the awards to the IAF pilots.
Seems the cover on the f16s shooting down is coming down.

@maint1234 No, Pakistanis don't have an issue with the truth; Indians do because they don't even understand that just saying something over and over again doesn't replace the need for evidence and doesn't make it true. India can make a national holiday for killing "terrorists" and they can promote a captured pilot to president for an F-16 shoot-down if they want but if they don't have evidence (especially if Pakistan has counter-evidence), then still no F-16s were shot down and the only terrorists are the Indians who bombed another sovereign country and got their just desserts. Posting more and more articles without evidence doesn't make something truer, especially if they just repeat each other. You don't need more "uncomfortable" questions and you don't need more articles making empty claims. You need evidence.
