Two more grainy updates from Dalian.

This is allegedly a procurement document for high-pressure valves and compressed air modules for four new hulls (no. 26 through 29).

Anhui Bidding Group has been entrusted by the 704 Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Group to conduct competitive negotiations and procurement of high-pressure valve parts and compressed air modules for hulls #26 through #29. The relevant matters are as follows:
I. Content of competitive negotiations
– (1) Project name: #26# t0 #29 Ship Compressed Air Supply Module and High Pressure Valve Parts
– (2) Project Number: GN2021-SH-5761
– (3) Basic Overview of the project: China Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Group 704 Research Institute now needs to purchase a batch of compressed air supply modules and high-pressure valves for ship #26 to #29. See the competitive negotiation document for details. – (4) Procurement budget: RMB 2.2 million per set (quotations exceeding this amount shall be ignored/rejected). The maximum purchase price of this project is 8.8 million yuan. The funds have already been allocated.

Interesting that they mentioned ships #26 to #29, since at present there are 25 type 052D/DL in service.

And since there are 5 hulls being built in Dalian, could it possibly that 4 hulls are type 052D(X) and one type 055(X)?

Or the 5th hull could be for export customer (The Whale shark)?

I need to clarify my original post. I don't have access to the actual procurement document, and since the image doesn't mention a date, I'm not able to confirm when the procurement document was issued or the bid deadline. Therefore, the hulls in question aren't necessarily 'new' in the sense that they have yet to be constructed.

I would like to make a correction to my original post, but the edit window has expired.

Also, only 2 of the 5 052DLs in Dalian actually look closer to be ready for launch, if anything.

The construction work on the other 3 hulls deeper into the Dalian drydock are yet to reach the necessary phase to be ready for launch at the moment. Their superstructures haven't been installed.

interesting since we have had no launch since over 2 years

so the overall tally would look like this

Batch 1 - 8 units
Batch 2- 5 units
Batch 3- 12 units
Batch 4- XX units

so far launched 25 x Type 052D/L and identified 5 x Type 052D/L at DL + 1 x Type 052D/L at JNCX

total units since 2012 = 31 or over 3 per year between two shipyards

Amazon production since in 2019 I believe 8 units were launched
