It looks like there is no space for fixed APARs mounted on the island, but a rotating(?) radar on the top of it. This could be a simplified "near seas" carrier design intended to operate in areas where Chinese vast escort fleet is readily available, and possibly intended for (relative) mass production.

I think this pretty much validates it is the CVN or at least a military ship?. The LNG ship next to it provide a contrast on the hull shape
It pretty much confirms what was already clear for months. Whatever doubts there were, those very clear satellite images make it next to impossible for it to be anything else. We're looking at the historic first Chinese CVN.

What is the beam of the ship based on the photos? I know it's been discussed before but iirc that was before clear hull modules had been placed.
