LNG carries are not with 2 power modules for nuclear reactors and R wider and lower in middle. Their front is raised and has all the controls and back is less raised and has assembly for for ship movement. In between is area for storage of containers or other commodities. LNG carriers are assembled much more faster and their modules are available without any delay. They don't need specific modules manufactured for aircraft carrier.

He's not asking about the LNG carrier because he thinks 004 is one—he's using it as a baseline to compare lengths.

For reference

The width in these drawings is probably too low

Can we finally stop sharing this guy's BS? He’s been obsessed since October with the weird idea that the reactor shielding is somewhere else, claiming Chinese marine reactors are just like 4th-gen civilian ones instead of the 'US-style' square shield design. It’s obvious to anyone who knows ship structures that he’s mistaking the engine room for the reactor bay. He’s doubling down even though the engine room's watertight bulkhead is plain as day in photos. The 00X layout is basically the same as the Ford's. These hopium peddlers on Weibo ignore reality just to hype up 'revolutionary' designs that don't even exist.

As a side note, this individual’s estimates for the flight deck's overall length exceed 350m, with a waterline length nearing 340m. His '00X' renders even feature a far-fetched 'double-deck aft hangar' dedicated to UAVs, complete with matching small outboard elevators. In reality, he is simply a layman with some basic 3D modeling skills who postures as an expert to grab attention. Reposting his content is a total waste of breath and holds no analytical value whatsoever.

(I think I’ve been blocked on Weibo by this idiot—shame, or I’d show you that joke of a render as 'Exhibit A.')

Thanks, I was a bit confused by wording. Box-like outer shielding is not unique to US Navy, Russians used it in their Kirov class CBGN and French in CdG carrier. Even Russian ice-breakers are using rectangular outer shielding. 2026-02-06 (3).jpg The pressure vessel of the reactor, nevertheless, is quite similar in both civilian and military applications.fh7jltrvvjn81.jpg
