Interesting stuff posted by this lady on China's progress on metals used in LNG construction. No idea how accurate this is.

Basically said that China in the past 2 years are now able to make its own Invar Steel and 9Ni Steel which are widely used in LNG tankers. They also managed to make high manganese steel and Cryogenic valve. Seems like they only achieved many of this in the past year.

The Haixun 08 (海巡08) large deep-sea hydrographic survey ship began sea trials in mid-November. She has a length of 123.6m, beam of 21.2m, molded depth of 9.3m, displacement of about 7,500 tons, and a design speed of 15 knots.
