Type 001A is only a step along a long way to aircraft carriers. At the end of the way we will see the most or the second most advanced carriers.

It is not *that* complicated:

Classes of active and soon to be active carrier classes:

Ford
Nimitz
Wasp (America)
Queen Elizabeth
Charles de Gaulle
Mistral
Kiev (Vikra)
Kuznetsov
Izumo
Hyuga
Dokdo
Juan Carlos
Canberra
Cavour
Vikrant
Trieste

So, yes, Kuznetsov and especially improved Chinese carriers (with much more modern electronics and also J-15s) are among the best of the carriers out there. Ford and Nimitz are much more capable. Queen Elizabeth and CdG are comparable rest is less capable.

Actually come to think of it you guys are all wrong.
The most advanced and most capable is the Chakri. It is so capable it doesn't even need any aircraft complement. It can kickass all on it's own.

In black are the "real" carriers, the other ships are auxiliary ships.

This genital wagging about the "most advanced" seem to betray a shallow understanding of what makes a weapon system good.

The good weapon system is one that adaquately fulfills its role in the grander scheme of its country's strategic situation in the most economic manner. Very often such weapon systems are not ones which embrace the most recent technological innovations. Some examples include the British Mosquito fighter which embraces wooden construction just as the industry embraced all metal sirframe

Furthermore what is good for one country with one set of strategic, tactical, economic and industrial problems is no good for another.

The ultimate purpose of a military is to be effective, not to be advanced. Being advanced is just one of the many tools that can be used to increase effectiveness. It is not the only one.

QE's are STOVL carriers for the next years without aircraft. China has a superior electronics industry. In what respect do you think they might outmatch CV-17?
Not having aircraft is a total non-argument in the first place; trying to argue about this is like uselessly trying to argue the tide won't come in just because it hasn't yet. BTW, CV-17 also won't have any aircraft for the "next years". As for "superior" electronics industry, it depends on what you mean by "superior". Capacity to produce larger volume electronics doesn't necessarily translate into superior combat systems. I would venture that on an individual ship for ship basis, the Daring is a superior ship to the 052D when judged based on the technological level of their electronics suites even though it was designed and built earlier than the 052D. If you doubt, get yourself a copy of the Type 45 Destroyer Owner's Workshop Manual and read through it. There are many things about the QE and CV-17 that are classified and will always be unavailable to us in the public realm, but from what we can know so far I certainly wouldn't place either one of those ships significantly ahead of the other in terms of overall capability.

Is the Chakri considered one of India's 3 aircraft carriers?

LOL GTFO with that list. Including LPDs, helicopter carriers, and amphibious assault ships in a list of aircraft carriers in order to inflate CV-17's position is just ridiculous.

This made me laugh...lmao. It's so deadly, its rust might contaminate the Water :)
Seriously, Thailand simply doesn't have the Economy or capability to run a Carrier Task Force. I'm still wondering why they bought an Aircraft Carrier at all. It's just costing money for maintenance (if it is being maintained at all) . A clear cut example of a vanity project.
