A former JMSDF officer Yoji Koda (香田洋二 ) gave his comment to a Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun, " (the fact that the sub was continuously monitored and chased by JMSDF) gave strong shock to Chinese Navy".

Can you provide a link from the Chinese Navy to prove his statement?
To make such a comment, there must be some official announcement from the chinese side.

China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Defense Ministry are no comment on the sub 093B. Although, they said something about Frigate Yiyang.

Have they ever though ?

We are talking about a SSN here a very high naval asset, not something to publicise

When there is no comment from chinese side, how can he make such a statement? How does he know the Chinese Navy is shocked?
Yoji Koda retired JMSDF as a high ranking officer in 2008, now he is an advisor of Japan's NSC since 2014. So, presumably, Koda is/was accessible to highly classified intelligence about Chinese Navy and submarines.

Typical Japan.
Back during the height of the Diaoyu Island dispute they also claimed that "China begged the Americans on all fours to allow them to send people and plant a flag on the Senkakus to placate their own masses".

Japan really likes to invent stuff for the sake of humiliating China. In their mind, China is just a humiliation away from a second Tiananmen. Dont believe me? Read their internet and watch their TV. In fact, this has history; just like how they painted propaganda paintings of Admiral Deng Shichang kneeling infront of Japanese Officers and surrendering to them after the defeat of the Beiyang Fleet in the 1st Sino-Japanese War, even though he actually stayed onboard the Zhiyuan and sunk along with his warship. Japan really loves to imagine and fabricate stories that make China look 1. Bad, 2. Cowardly and 3. Incompetent and Dumb.

I consider this story belonging to the same category.

That's not an answer for how he knows that the Chinese were "shocked." There are only 2 ways for him to know that; either they told him, or he was there and saw their reaction. Due to the unlikelihood of both, I'd say he definitely made it up for sensationalism. To most Japanese readers, it just means "We did a great job; congratulate us."

So he is compromising the japanese intelligence service by making statement like this?
Perhaps, Japanese government decided to let China know its brand new sub type 093B is already obsolete, and to give humiliation to China. This could be a reasonable decision as a Cost-Imposing Strategy. China was forced to spend huge budget to improve its submarines.

Perhaps, Koda knew PLAN was overconfident on acoustics of type 093B.
