052C/052D Class Destroyers

By 21st he’s referring to 6+15 of the C+D he makes that clear in his post

Not 21 x Type 052D

Which by the looks of it is where the misunderstanding has happened

So yes 22nd is correct for both Type 052C plus Type 052D

If someone actually posted the original message which clearly stated “052” then we would have avoided atleast one page of discussion

What’s worse some people actually tried to justify it was only “D”

Anyway better late than never thanks

But over here (SDF), he said 15th launch of 052D, and 22nd keel. If we're counting both C and D, then certainly we know there is additionally not just one more under construction, but several... But, but, but... perhaps you don't realize that Star-mil in that twitter account is the same person as "interstellar" over here.

The 15th 052D launched three weeks ago and keel of the 22nd 052D has been laid down two weeks ago.

What is your source for this claim? To claim that the source is yourself is not good enough. Do you work for the Chinese navy or do you have access to those who have the information? Or is this your own speculation? If so, then present it as a personal opinion.

I know you are new, so let me remind you that SDF is not a fanboy site.

I'm not a sheriff, self-appointed or otherwise, but merely an adult with emotional control who adheres to more rigorous standards of information dissemination and who exercises the right to call things as I see them. I take the time to separate facts from opinions, wishful thinking from factual analysis, and I present information only after I have vetted it. When I do expressed an opinion or speculate, I make it clear that it's an opinion or speculation, meaning I don't phrase it as if it's a fact. I don't pretend to know what I don't know, and I most certainly don't pass information from fanboy forums without critically examining its veracity, especially when the original information is in a language I don't understand.

Lastly, I hope you'll agree that SDF is not a fanboy forum, and as such, certain prevailing attitudes and practices at Pakistan Defence Forum do not apply here.

I think the core message here has been drowned out - @Interstellar here is star-mil on twitter who probably isn't just any ordinary "fanboy" (yes he is "new" on SDF). Here at SDF we have been quoting him as a reliable source for ages although lately he has admitted it's been difficult to track the commissioning status, so for me perhaps I'd give his statements more weight than others.

I have always been encouraging people to doubt, but it will be even better if you could falsify (or certify) the information.

The burden of proof is on you, since you are the originator of the claim. In other words, you need to clarify if your claim is a personal opinion, an educated guess, a fact, or something based on other sources, and if possible, provide those other sources.

What you cannot do is to put forth a statement and ask the rest of us to prove it or disprove it. If that were how things should work, then I could simply claim that you have seven toes on your right foot and then ask you to prove it.

Wait, I am not asking any of you to do anything.

When a message is given to you and the source of which apparently cannot be provided, it will be up to you to laugh at, to doubt, to believe, to falsify or to certify it.

But you did provide the source to the 'original information', and that source is you. This is why I have asked you to elaborate: do you work for the Chinese navy or do you have access to those who have the information? Or is this your own speculation or educated opinion, and if so, could you present to us how you've arrived at this opinion?

I hope it's not too much to ask that you flesh out your original statement for our edification.
