PLAN Anti-ship/surface missiles

Looks clearer after some work on it was done.



The tail is indeed cross shaped, you can see the line where the wings would switch out to spread. The spine clasping the missile only seems slightly different to the Klub's towards the front. The proportions seems like the 3M-54E version, which is the long version (8.2m, 2300kg weight) as opposed to the short version (6.2m, 1780kg weight).

It has been revealed that the AR3 launcher, capable of launching both tactical ballistic missiles and 220-km-ranged MRL rockets, is also capable of launching the TL-7B anti-ship missiles:

• Speed (cruise): 0.8 Mach
• Cruise height: 10 m above sea level
• Range: 180 km
• Guidance: INS + GPS + RF seeker
• Hit probability: 90%
• Length: <6 m
• Mass: <850 kg
• Warhead: >320 kg
• Operating temperature: -40 to +50 Celsius
• Storage life: 10 years

Unsure if this has been posted before, but it shows a near-space anti-ship missile and its flight trajectory. From the looks of the presentation format, it seems to be from that PLAN powerpoint from 2017.

That looks like a HGV.

It seems that this is likely indeed the 055's future anti-ship weapon, using several pull-up maneuvers to defeat anti-missile defenses. I'm wondering if this means that the PLAN is pursuing high-altitude, high-speed weapons instead of subsonic, stealthy cruise missiles. The shipborne ASBM (still rumored to be designated "YJ-XX") is apparently nearing the end of its development.

They will probably pursue both. Fielding different kinds of threats will prevent potential adversaries from being able to depend on any one countermeasures.

This is possibly related to the near-space ballistic anti-ship missile in the previous couple of posts. These following documents originate as far back as 2015 at least, and is concerning a ballistic anti-ship missile with a speed of approximately ~7000 m/s. Note that this is roughly the reentry speed of an ICBM's warhead, suggesting that the range of the missile would be in the intercontinental category. Additionally, the weapon is designed such that seven of these missiles would be fired in quick succession, with each missile taking a different trajectory (i.e. different paths, altitude, speed) to the target in order to ensure a hit one way or another.

I have trouble translating it via Google so any help would be appreciated.

Unknown submarine-launched anti-ship or land-attack missile; footage was posted a while ago.

Yes, this missile should definitely be considered to be an HGV until proven otherwise. Actually it is virtually impossible that based on the reported speed and the depicted maneuvers that this could be anything other than an HGV.
