"According to commercial ship tracking data, Montgomery made a port call in Hawaii and left on June 10." https://news.usni.org/2019/07/01/li...uss-montgomery-left-unannounced-in-early-june

would mean about 10 knots average speed if true (it's about four and a half thousand nm, of course I mean Pearl to Philippines)

House Passes Fiscal Year 2020 National Defense Authorization Act on Party Lines https://news.usni.org/2019/07/12/ho...onal-defense-authorization-act-on-party-lines
    ends with
"Both versions of the NDAA include cuts the Littoral Combat Ship program. The Senate version prohibits extending the program beyond the current 35 ships that have been bought, and the House version cuts funding to some LCS-related mission packages. The Navy requested $197.1 million for LCS mine countermeasures modules, and the House Appropriations Committee gave $163.9 million to spend on the program. However, the House NDAA only allows $77.1 million for the program."

Well from the original 52 Down to 35 tells a story of a complete failure that will takes many years to recover from can Lcs become a somewhat useful ship most would say No its simply would take way to much money and design changes to accomplish that it's may be as a lesson in stupidity of To Much To Fast and To Soon
