Aleppo, Syria (6:00 A.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) have once again entered the Aleppo Artillery Base after launching a powerful assault near the Al-Ramouseh District in the southern sector of the provincial capital.

According to a military source in Aleppo City, the jihadist rebels entered the Artillery Base after infiltrating the Syrian Arab Army’s first line of defense that was already fractured from the first attack.

The military source added that the jihadists seized half of the base before they were forestalled by the Syrian Armed Forces. With reinforcements pouring into the base with every passing second, it is unlikely that the Syrian Army will give up easy on the base.

Should the jihadist forces capture the base, they would be one step closer to lifting the siege off of their east Aleppo comrades.

Aleppo, Syria (10:15 A.M.) – As of 4 A.M. on Saturday morning, the jihadist rebels of Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) have been full control of the Aleppo Artillery Base, marking a successful conclusion to the third phase of their large-scale offensive.

According to a military source in the Aleppo Governorate, the Syrian Armed Forces were unable to maintain their last line of defense after Jaysh Al-Fateh launched several VBIED (vehicle borne improvised explosive device) attacks at the southern perimeter of the base.

With the Artillery Base under their control, the jihadist rebels are now in position to lift the three week long siege on the eastern neighborhoods of the provincial capital.

In addition to seizing the base, the jihadist rebels have also captured a large cache of ammunition that was left by the Syrian Armed Forces at this imperative military installation on Saturday morning.

The Russian Air Force is now bombing the Aleppo Artillery Base in order to stop the jihadist rebels from fortifying their positions.

...
... he ("Cassad", not me) predicted an assault of "Airforce Technical Division" (the place also called "Technical College") by anti-Government forces to begin around 1500 hours of his time (which is like ten minutes from now :) so I looked at the pro-Government map to quickly draw this (finally I've found "Ramouseh Garages", close to the narrowest point of the Government-held area):

let's see in the evening

But all some people need to know :) is

"... as of 0400 hours [apparently of August 1st, as the description of this video says Streamed live on Aug 1, 2016] the [Southern Aleppo anti-Government] offensive was foiled; more than 800 Illegal Combatants KIA ..."

since it was said, for the record, around this moment:

in
and now the official (РИА) headline is The Only Entry Into Aleppo Cut Off By Illegal Combatants

... LOL it was about time to find the Garages, as recently "Cassad" wrote a blog

called ... Garages; according to him, not me, the Garages were attacked around 1700 hours (of Syria time I guess) by anti-Government forces from their part of the Artillery Base ... as of now, in the discussion below that blog, "Cassad" of course vehemently denies a corridor was formed between the two anti-Government areas ...

EDIT
noticed the most recent (posted just half of an hour ago) pro-Government map:

let's see tomorrow

(refers to the traps they tried to set up last weekend :)

it's been like two month:
Jun 9, 2016
... Kurds had cut "M4" to the west from Manbij (if true, it would mean Manjib should be "practically encircled" by now)
...
... and now it seems there's just "the downtown pocket" left, and the "eastern pocket" gone:

Not much news at all from Aleppo and AMN has not updated since yesterday evening.
Having to rely on the BBC but even they are having to admit that even if a passage has been forced that it will be very insecure and that the Govt are claiming to have recaptured key areas.

It brings me back to a question that I asked at the beginning of the offensive.
Is this a break in or simply a break out?
