I know it is not about Hong Kong, but it is still about all things Chinese. And it is perhaps lessons the current generation of Chinese leaders (both China and Hong Kong) can learn from!

We need people like him in Hong Kong. The great late Mr. Lee kar sing!

Shenzhen police releases video of Simon Cheng soliciting a prostitute in response to a message from the British consulate on Weibo.

"I don't want to talk about soliciting prostitute" says Cheng. Of course you don't mate! Lol

This is the type of pathetic MSM journalism we come to expect. Notice the lack of challenge to anything Cheng said! everything he said its taking as gospel by the BBC interviewer!

Oh my gosh, it's true. I was 90% sure that wasn't true and they arrested him for political reasons like Americans would insert child pornography into people's cellphones to arrest them for non-crimes. I thought he couldn't be stupid enough to risk his job and reputation by going to China at such a contentious time and committing such a petty crime, but it's true. I doubted Chinese media and leaned towards the Western explanation and I was wrong. I didn't know that there is still more I need to do to detoxify the poisons that Western media have placed in my mind.

He actually said with a straight face, "I don't want to focus on the question of whether or not I solicit prostitution," with a video of him soliciting prostitutes rolling on the screen LOLOL. This playa thinks he's slick; I laughed for like 4 minutes thinking about how stupid that was...

I'm somewhat surprised that you think that it all could've been a set-up!

Make BNO Hongkongers full British citizens, Boris Johnson urged by top political figures as UK election approaches
  • Several influential parliamentarians call on prime minister to give holders of British National (Overseas) passports full citizenship
  • The call, which its supporters say would correct ‘historic error’, injects the issue into Britain’s elections

Hundreds of protesters marched to the British Consulate in Hong Kong in September, urging the British government to grant full citizenship to British National (Overseas) passport holders. Conservative members of the House of Lords have supported the move in a letter to Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Photo: Nora Tam

Prime Minister Boris Johnson of Britain is facing increasing pressure to give full citizenship to Hongkongers holding British National (Overseas) passports, or BNOs, as he runs for re-election.

A former Conservative Party chairman has joined the call for Johnson, who now leads the party, to correct the “historic error” of not giving BNO holders full citizenship, while the Liberal Democrats became the first major party to support in their election manifesto a “right of abode” for these Hongkongers.

BNO passports are travel documents that the British government granted only to Hongkongers born before the 1997 handover. As they do not entail the right to live and work in the United Kingdom, there have been calls to upgrade BNOs to full citizenship status amid the protests and increasingly violent clashes with police in Hong Kong since June.

The British government has been studying what possible changes could be made but the parliamentary election has added difficulty to an already complex and sensitive matter which may weigh directly on British-China relations, several sources say.

You can tell it’s a BS cover story from how long it took him to come forward with it.

If you were genuinely wronged, you would be speaking out the movement you are released.

This story is actually a perfect example of the kinds of perverse incentives western governments and society create to solicit false testimony on their ‘enemies’.

This horny idiot blew up his lift by whoring around and getting caught, but now, with a fake story, he is the darling of the west and all but certain to get political asylum in an American client state of his choice, with probably a few fundraisers held for him that will set him up for life.

With incentives like that, is it any wonder you get takers?

And that is a fundamental reason why the west cannot understand China; because the overwhelming majority of people who they give any airtime to speak on China are all paid liars. The few genuine experts who do speak truth to the western public are invariably blacklisted and never allowed on air again for not toeing the western MSM party line on China reporting.

I'm amazed that after more than two months, this is the best that Britain can come up with!

Have we all got short memories? Cast out minds back then. Back then, Britain went out all guns blazing regarding the missing "staffer" (bearing in mind he's not even a British national)! And therefore Britain's only "interest" in this case its that he works at their consulate. But Britain sees political mileage in embarrassing China, so they went at it all guns blazing in order to cause maximum embarrassment to China.

However, once they heard he wasn't kidnapped and was in fact in jail for sexual conduct. Britain went quiet, and nothing more was heard!

Now a few months later, they finally came up with this BS of torture, etc. To try to embarrass China again! Gee.guantanamo bay, anyone?

Anyway, the fact is, he is still a Chinese national, and yet, after "sacking" him, they offered him, a Chinese national two years' work permit (in effect whisk him to the UK for two years at least)! Whilst all those fools outside the consulate with their worthless BNO, can't even get through the consulate door, let alone the UK!

I sure hope that he doesn’t come forward with more B.S. because I have a nagging suspicion that the Shenzhen police have yet to release all of their videos.

I do hope so, and I think they bound to have. This is so typical of these mindless scumbags, they are being used like a disposable condom! China offered him a relatively face saving way out. And all he's got to do is stay silent and fade into blessed oblivion. But alas, no! Britain offered him two years' fully paid work permit in return for this BS!

UN, other global bodies should take up Dalai Lama succession issue: US
Responding to a question, Brownback said the United Nations needs to take this topic of succession of the Dalai Lama. “I think it should be taken up by the United Nations. It should be taken up by other international bodies too, but the UN should take it up, the European – a number of governments...around the world should take this up,” he said.

US is the greatest gaslighter of all time.
