Many of the Japanese-Americans and Japanese-Canadians that were sent to concentration camps are second, third and even fourth generationat the same time i dont think it will be like WWII where the Japanese were sent to internment camps. those practices were from the early days of mass immigration where authorities didnt know how to handle all of these people that originated from a enemy state. and the action of rounding up the japanese were driven as much by fear as hatred. for the Chinese the treatment will likely be something that looks like the Nuremberg law with some liberal touch. it will be painful for sure, and for many Chinese residing in the west the better option likely is indeed to move back to China, or a non-western country.
Pogroms are literally going to be a thing in the USA and Canada given the extreme levels of insanity there but for Australia and New Zealand with as small of an army they have and an extremely close proximity to Asia along with governments that are less likely to be that insane then that of America along with well things basically working enough to negate the need of such things, it might not be any where near as likely to happen. The UK given how bad things are already for everyone there anyways which everyone there is already protesting as one against the government and that the nation is already falling apart as it is, pogroms their simply isn’t possible over there. So only the USA and Canada given the close proximity will be most affected by the hatred given not only the extreme levels of poverty griping the nation along with other things but also the fact that the USA has history (compared to the other 5eyes as of recent history) to lynching and destroying people of colour simply because and rationalising it to a massive extent as a God given act. Also to note is that when the USA does this in broad day light (they will be the first to do this) don’t expect the rest of the global south not to take notice of this (as the USA proves, that can literally target anyone like with Russia) and sympathy for the US isn’t going to go up for the USA, it will go down and also this will eventually invite other nations to do something similar to the USA given the circumstances. Pogroms isn’t something the USA can easily do and get away with it, it invites China to use far for lethal methods to deal with the USA in the event of such an action and Russia will ultimately help if only to improve there image to the world as they have shown themselves even in this crisis not to sink to such levels against the Europeans living in Russia. How would Chinese escape the West once the pogroms start? Anyone in the US is basically boned. Those in west coast Canada may have a chance if they escape by sea. I don't know enough about Europe to have an informed opinion.
are they really a hidden champions? . The point is no country with some sense will allow itself to go such extreme with small firms that are export connected as it is creating environmental damage that is beyond the area can absorb, when Germany has such high imports, truck transit and truck driver import from East. who knows whether imports are properly calculated. Germany has gained control 500m Europeans and Turks and this Ukraine is destroying that system as it sucking people. Germany can neither solve ammunition shortage for Ukraine nor its drug dependency as there no flexibility left. every one is going own way with small business mentality.Let's how many survive till 2025 with Covid and Energy prices skyrocketing.
In a year or two we will have English conditions due to demographic change," said Engelhardt. The driver shortage can no longer be compensated for in Eastern Europe because it also exists there
Forwarding company Josef Dischner from Weiding in the district of Cham (Bavaria) also opposed the CO2 toll. The industry is still suffering from the Corona crisis, the disruption of supply chains, rising energy prices and high inflation. "At the current time there must be no further increases in costs," he emphasized. The situation is very tense in every respect. Dischner also saw no steering effect of the CO2 toll. Electric trucks, for example, are simply not able to carry out the transports carried out by his company. E-trucks would have ten to 15 percent of the range of a diesel truck. "So we need significantly more range and a functioning infrastructure," said the forwarding company.
One of the leaders of the industry, Kreiss head Andrejs Kuzņecovs, said that 70% of the drivers in the company come from third countries, including Ukraine. “Across Europe, 60% of all drivers will retire in the next seven years,” Kuzņecovs said.
up until last week, Finland was my go to sanctuary once the pogroms start but after the shit the Finns pulled, I’m going to have to reconsider. Sweden used to be neutral but it’s heading the way of Finland. To be honest. You don’t necessarily have to go China anyway. US and Canadian visas can be used to enter visa free non-western aligned countries. Then you can just wait it out or I suppose attempt some solution at a Chinese embassy because I really doubt the conflict would last more then a couple years.
Sad? No. Great to see them de-industrialize.Yeah it's kind of sad to see century old German industrial companies go broke and have to shut down. Before you know it Germany will have no historical companies left.
Same here in the netherlands some big steel smelters have to either run at lower capacity or have to shutdown completely.
Ok, in Rwanda Tutsi were the upper class and spoke French while the Hutu were lower class and spoke Swahili. What happened to the Tutsi? How come their model minority status did not protect them?Muslims were not interned as a whole now or during the years of "war on terror" and during other middle east conflict. They were also perceived as the most likely to hit civilian and military target indiscriminately. Obviously be expected to be "observed" and be careful not to fall entrapped into the "catch-all" crime related to taxes or conspiracy charge.
I think out right "ching chong" discrimination would happen in rural areas (always that chinese family opening a random restaurant or shop in middle america) and employment discrimination will happen in the more metro area. Good luck trying to get that job if the manager/co-workers are a bunch of "angry american" in some small company or state/fed job. Honestly, some of these "chinese nationals" that out right steal or spy for the chinse gov likely already polluted the prospect of "chinese" working in some science and tech field. "Chinese" will lose that model-moniry-shield and would just be treated like every other "brown" person in America.
Blatant disregard for China's territorial integrity and sovereignty continues.TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The U.S. has reportedly sent more than 200 troops to Taiwan to provide military training to Taiwan's armed forces.
In February, the Wall Street Journal cited U.S. officials as saying that 100 to 200 soldiers will be dispatched to Taiwan in the coming months. On Sunday, Up Media quoted military sources as saying the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command has dispatched more than 200 military trainers to Taiwan to assist local forces in training and propose improvements.
Among the more than 200 instructors, 80% are from the U.S. army. Most of the American instructors are stationed at new training centers and reserve brigades of Taiwan's Army.
The U.S. army instructors are to provide on-the-spot evaluations of training and will propose improvements.
You can get up to 20 years visa if you are married to a Chinese national AFAIKWhat I know of, they will give you permanent residence or visa, renewable every 2 or 5 years? I want the opinion of our members from PROC.
