You sure India won't bend?
China has long since chased into the same trench with Russia and now both share a common cause, much to the dismay of Henry Kissinger and the like, who've warned against such for years.
If they don't bend, they will have allies that won't betray then so easily but if they do, well where are they going to get there oil/gas needs. India has much to gain in staying the course but if they bend and follow the USA, I can predict that eventually, India will crumble into chaos, which I believe is something India right now can see is not what they want. To be honest, this would be the biggest self own in the world if they give the entire global south an even greater incentive to bury Ukraine and simply just continue to dedolarize and ultimately put the USA in its place eventually when the USA can no longer purchase the goods it needs to survive as a nation. I don't think the USA is going to allow something like this to happen and will most likely silence the fool who brought this up and probably try to replace the current crop of people with people they can control.... which will open up a whole new can of worms because everyone can see the madness unfolding more clearly and turn even more people away from the Ukraine conflict. Either way, I don't believe the USA has many avenues to run away to and sooner or later, a reckoning will be had and they must face the music. The dollar is going to die sooner or later and no that day, I don't think the USA is going to be partying around much longer

As much as one might joke around how India acts, its still the world's 3rd largest economy.
The methods used by US to subvert small third world nations or ones where there is institutionalised American corruption will not work well on India.
US is not rich enough to buyout India completely, and India's institutional corruption is its own, not America's.
Under the nationalist Modi regime, India is mostly interested in eating from every single table in the room. They're powerful enough that they can't really be forcefully stopped.
More fear of the balloon for the Americans. I didn't know the Americans were that terrified of balloons. I guess too many Americans have grown up on a steady diet of RA2 Kirov airships and nukes.
Maybe the PLAAF can invest into weaponizing the balloon. It's cheap, and it scares the crap out of the Americans. Paint some eyes, a clown nose, and teeth on that balloon. Hang some scary-looking objects underneath it to spice up the fear. Excellent target decoy cum terror weapon. Imagine floating a number of these over the USN 7th fleet, and nearby US bases.

AFAIK this was an experiment to test different hypersonic glider design by dropping them from high altitude balloon, but given what happened in recent days it's certainly an evocative image.
Imagine that the Chinese wanted to spy on the Montana missile field. Is it a Chinese balloon who is the real spying threat? Or is it that new coffee machine that the launch and maintenance crews are probably drinking coffee off within those facilities itself?
Let the Americans decide which is scarier.
