It's not the low altitude radar, it's the AKR Fire Control Radar of the Siper SAM System

P.S., the low altitude radar is going to be revealed next year which means that it is most likely not ready for field tests yet, so this is 99.9% the FCR of Siper.

Very impressive, how come that Turkey has such strong R&D in recent years? Unlike China they get weapons from east and west if they like. Was F-35 Fiscco a wakeup call or is turkish MIC in the making since the early 2010's?

More like the mid-1970s. It all started with a blanket ban on weapon sales by the US after the Cyprus conflict. At that point, even the kitchenware the Turkish Army was using was of American origin. The first major goal was to develop indigenous military radios. It expanded from there.

Wow, didn't knew that it correlates so far back, but understandable due to Turkeys challenging geographical neighbours. Really shows you what can be done if you are determined and have a dream, very impressive, Turkey is playing in first league at the moment technology wise. More importantly, she bet on the right horse with drones and indigineous subs, 5th gen fighters.



Makes me think, germany could have been the same if not for our mutt loving government, instead of indigineous fighters we now buy mutt fighters for 240.000.000€ a piece. Pity.
