How much of AFU's forces in this offensive are technicals vs how much are MRAPs?

I wouldn't discount MRAP being used as ersatz wheeled IFV against Russians. Previous joint exercises between PLA and Russians have shown that Russian forces can't really handle medium combined arms brigade or SBCTs or similar wheeled medium armour formations running circles around them and striking where there they are weak. Didn't a PLA medium combined arms battalion wipe out a whole Russian mechanized infantry regiment during Vostok 2018?

Although MRAP are far from being equivalent to a Type 08, it still at least equivalent if not heavier than jeep equipped light combined arms brigades and not to be underestimated due to their speed. In fact this known Russian weakness to highly mobile units may explain their recent failure against AFU formations being used this way.

That’s very interesting. According to @siegecrossbow , Russia doesn’t do force on force training for large scale joint training.
It's very complicated and not one sided Russia Stronk or Russia Joke. The Chinese military respects the Russian military for its combat experience and many of the tactics pioneered during the Syrian War but there have been concerns with the digitalization and reliability/readiness of gear at some exercises. Contrary to popular belief, large scale joint training with Russia (like Vostok) do not involve force on force combat training but attacks against static targets. In fact I do not believe the Russian military employ a professional OPFOR in either the Army or the Air Force, but I could be wrong about it. What is certain is that force on force exercises like the Stride series in Zhurihe does not have a counterpart in Russia.

SMO operation will continue. No decision has been made to upgrade it.

Moscow has not rebranded its military campaign in Ukraine as a “counter-terrorist operation”after taking four former Ukrainian regions under its sovereignty, contrary to some expectations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

“This is solely the prerogative of the commander-in-chief, the country’s president,” he told journalists on Wednesday when asked about a possible change of format.

“As of this moment, no such decision has been taken. We are talking about the special military operation, which continues,” he added.

This situation is getting scarily hotter as time go on.

There were suggestions when the partial mobilization started was that these draftees were going to replace or free the trained soldiers stationed elsewhere for Ukraine.

Shouldn't be much of an issue since the Russians are easily defeatable.

Though I guess the baltics would prefer if others do the dying for them somewhere else far away from their lands. Want to pick a fight but not be the ones to fight it, verily geopolitical chihuahas

When asked why the U.S. was not sending the additional HIMARS from existing U.S. stockpiles – which would more than double the number of those artillery systems on the ground, a senior defense official said the plan was to begin preparing for the long-term needs of Ukraine, and put orders in now so they will be ready if the conflict ends.

“If we don't invest today, to procure HIMARS for the future, they won't be there when the Ukrainian armed forces need them down the road,” the senior defense official said. “This is a really sizable investment.
Looks like the U.S capability to supply Ukraine with weapons is diminishing pretty fast. The U.S. has a lot of quality weapons but quality also means more complex to make, quantity has a quality all its own, so is a problem for the Ukrainians if the Russians grind their forces faster that can be replenish. In the good ol days you would have China flooding Ukraine with cheap affordable easy to made weapons in large quantities, I say Ukraine only because the Russians are to proud to procure Chinese weapons. But thanks to the Americans the Chinese are providing to no one.

Oh the horror! I cant imagine what it must be like for a foreign entity to be piling military equipment and personel near your borders.

Im very sure its completely different than an entire alliance of foreign entities piling military equipment and personel along your borders, while arming some very dangerous and questionable types of people next door to your country with some very heinous stated intentions.

What do I know though!
