The War in the Ukraine

He also speculated that the referendum taking place now will lead to LDNR, Kherson and Zaporozhye being annexed. Then Russia will effectively offer the Ukraine a peace deal, either accept the territorial losses or Russia will declare formal war.

Thinking about it, this makes total sense. Europe and the UK is in no position to continue funding the war. If they were they would be rationing gas supplies to conserve as much of it as possible. In the UK there has been nothing of the sort, by capping price bills they are giving everyone free energy. They are behaving like the war will be ending soon.

All I will say is from Russia's point of view, not capturing Odessa and Kharkov would be a massive betrayal and evidence that Russia isn't as powerful as it was meant to be. It'll go down the same as the Winter war, regardless of what the truth was.

Not capturing Kiev would be fine, but at least destroy it and other cities in west Ukraine so America and Europe will spend the next few decades having to rebuild.

If the extent of annexation is only Kherson, Zaporizizia and LDPR, it is a sort of small defeat for Russia. Like the winter war it would have gained, but at too high cost and not according to actual potential.

Nothing would change for Ukraine with the referendum or with a declaration of war.

They honestly have no choice but to take the entirety of Ukraine or else they will keep getting shelled and Ukraine will eventually be a part of NATO and if there are parts of ukraine that still want to be Ukraine than they are obviously going to be pro-russian backed leaders with the right amount or Russian troops to prevent any outbreaks happening and the border will be in strict control.

Even with Zelenskys talk of a 2nd great israel, israel suddenly gave up supply them weapons and acoording to Sprinter(tweets i have been uploading on the ukraine war photo thread) Israel and Turkey will start a gas line project all of a sudden which makes me think why havent they all done this before when the war began? Zelenksy is making multiple videos(other thread) now but not way before the war telling Russians to surrender along telling the US they can test their "experimental weapons" in Ukraine. This does not give me any good vibes of Ukraine supposedly kicking the Russians out of ukraine and we are on phase 2 of the war while the other 2 phases are sending active duty troops mobilization or nukes.

Rybar indicates that apparently an AGM-88 struck the middle of a park. This highlights the limitations of trying to use it in such a juryrigged fashion

I would assume it is not really connected to any of the MiG or Sukhoi's ESM's but rather set on the ground for pre-determined coordinate.

I expect Russia to also annex Kharkiv and Odessa eventually.

Odessa is targetted a bit more in the last two weeks, it look like the Russian army is poking the territories to draw troops from the east or to determine what's remaining there. With the flooding from dam busting and the muddy fall coming in, Ukraine reinforcements will take a while arriving from the east if they are starting an offensive right now.
