India recently bought the S-400 from Russia, the F-35B would likely be blocked for the same reasons as it was for Turkey. You also would have the problem of getting it to fit in the tiny lifts. Not to mention the price of it....

I think they've dodged a bullet. I think it is too underpowered to operate safely on a ski lift carrier. Remember that RN F-35B that went for a swim last year?
I heard some news or rumor that US offer India to cancel S-400 deal to get access to more advanced stuff in US catalogs.

So, I don't think it impossible for India to get F-35, but they might have to trade both political relationship and Russian equipment just to be allowed to buy it. Not sure how all of that are worth... a lof of trade off just for a few fighter jets.

Anyway, F-35B wingspan ain't so wide as C variant. Might fit their tiny lift after all. As for RAF F-35B, the incident cause by sloppy maintenance not because the engine (it actually very powerful engine). Not to say, F-35 have no issues but engine power is not one of them.

If India gets F-35s, China will sell an equal amount of J-35s to Pakistan to ensure the balance of power is unchanged.

Hindustan media somehow manages to compare INS Vikrant to the upcoming Type 003 Fujian AC and made it appear that Vikrant has all the advantages over China's next CATOBAR/EMALS AC...

LOL! Look at the comments below that video. Unlike the usual masses of "Victory India!" screams. Not many are convinced that Vikrant is really better than the Fujian.

Even 'Victory India' BS has its limitations. LOL!

But these sort of videos are aplenty pushed forth by Indian traditional and non-traditional media, which in my opinion shows the severe insecurity of these people and envy towards China and the Chinese people as a whole.

I'm kinda glad that they continue to do this. The more they play this 'Victory India' thing, the more they get left behind by China.

When China was intimidated by the US military in the 1991 Gulf War, and 1996 3rd Taiwan Strait Crisis. The Chinese never boasted that they have better tanks and ships than the US. They honestly assessed their own military. Then put their heads down and work hard to catch up. When China made significant milestones, they celebrated it, but didn't boast about going to kick somebody's ass with it. The result is the immense progress we see today.

India throughout the decades has been busy talking, and talking, and talking. India's is still running a 3rd-world level of Defence Industry as of 2022. Direct imports, JVs, rebranding, limited R&D, and limited indigenous designs. India is talking about importing Hornets or Rafales for the Vikrant. While China is gonna put its own family of indigenous aircrafts on the Fujian. There is just no comparison on how much the Defence Industry on each side has progressed. Difference in arms exports between China and India? No contest, even in the Cold War era.

The West is happy to play pretend that India is gonna become the next 'superpower' while selling it overpriced arms. India thinks that it has already won, that it had already become a superpower. Partially because the West heaped unmerited confidence on India. With that, Indians continue to look down on China and the Chinese people, despite the overwhelming reality that India is very far behind. This is why India can never close the gap with China. 'Victory India' for me, is a blessing in disguise for the enemies of India.

And just has most of the folks here have predicted and said that India's new INS Vikranf AC won't be able to fit either the Rafale M or the U.S. FA Superhornet due to the respective dimensions of the planes that are simply too big and unusable for India's new and hyped up A.C.

Here's the report:

And a YouTube video link that discussed this new development while including yet again, desperate and fantasy like wishes of the Indian military, this time around the notion that America will grant them to have and operate one of American prestige power, the strategic stealth bomber B-21.

The thing is that this website called IDRW is more unreliable than all the indian defence media combined
The video is just a speaking version of that website

INS Vikrant is officially commissioned by PM Modi. Finally..... It surely took them awhile.

Just look at how the ceremony is broadcasted by the Indian media on Youtube. LOL! Ooo... China scared. USN Nimitz-class CVNs are nothing. Now INS Vikrant has arrived! LOL!

Even CNN is celebrating in very suspiciously 'Indian fashion'.

Why of course!

"Till now, this type of aircraft carrier was made only by developed countries. Today, India by entering this league has taken one more step towards becoming a developed nation," Modi said, adding the Indo-Pacific region remained "a major security priority" for India.
What happened to Supapower 2020 then?

But analysts praised its potential firepower.
When its air wing becomes fully operational over the next few years, Vikrant will carry up to 30 aircraft, including MiG-29K fighter jets -- to be launched from its ski-ramp style deck -- and helicopters as well as defensive systems including surface-to-air missiles.
But analysts criticized the weaknesses of the Admiral Kuznetsov, Liaoning, Shandong, Russian Mig-29K, Su-33, and J-15. They even called the J-15 a 'flopping fish' because it took off from a ski ramp. But off course, the Indian STOBAR carrier and Mig-29Ks deserves so much praise.

"India is sending out the message that it has the power, it has the aircraft carriers and therefore the air power to dominate the distant reaches of the Indian Ocean," said Ajai Shukla, a former Indian military officer turned defense analyst.
'Power' and 'dominate'. India surely loves those two words for a supposedly 'free and democratic nation'.

China is seen as India's main naval competitor in the region. With two carriers in service and a third far more advanced carrier launched in the past year, China is ahead of India both numerically and technologically, but analysts give India the edge in operational carrier experience.
"On paper, China's new carriers have more capabilities in terms of payload and technology than Vikrant. However, India has decades of experience operating carrier aviation forces while China is still learning," said Bradford, the Singapore analyst.
Of course! Of course! It just has to be India>China.

Victory India!

Indian advert about INS Vikrant and the growth of Atmanirbhar Bharat in India's Defence Industry. Feel the Indian patriotism. Laugh at the reality.
