Instead of fighting about whether the PLA should shoot down Pelosi's plane, I think the more urgent question now is where are those reported PLAAF Su-35 fighters now?
The only appropriate response at this point is reunification by force. If that doesn't happen it would be a strategic miscalculation, but all words and actions I've seen from the CPC appear to back up that is exactly what will be happening.
Sending ships isn't needed to deter the USA. I was unsure what the US response would be but after watching that WH press briefing I'm convinced America aren't going to do a thing. If the Democratic party in power aren't fully on board with Pelosi's actions, and even what their position is, how on earth are they going to get the country to agree to war with China.
On a more side note, it is incredible how an 82 year old women managed to keep 100,000+ men up late at night waiting for her arrival!
