Very possible. Likely even. If she bottled it, her plane should be heading away from Taiwan rather than flying parallel to the coast.

Indeed. I'm willing to bet this is simply to remain outside of territorial airspace for as long as possible. She's descending @-3k ft/min, which is standard, so I assume this is intentional.

Matches with the rehearsal in Singapore where they descended to 1000 ft and kept going at low altitude.
