I'm very surprised posters on here were anticipating shooting down her plane. There was almost 0 chance of that happening. Expectations were way too high.
China's not that stupid. They earned of consequences but I don't think china will fight on US schedule.

Maybe she’s skirting the airspace then entering at the last second to minimize the window of interception.
So did Chinese officials say "we will shoot down Pelosi's plane if she tries to land in Taiwan"? Did they say "we are going to invade Taiwan when Pelosi lands"? Serious question, i don't know what they've actually said but i have a sneaking suspicion those words were never said.
To me it's more and more apparent that there are about as many people in this world as i have fingers that still understand how to take official statements literally, instead of transposing their own fantasies into place of them.
I highly recommend trying to understand these things with an objective disconnected unbiased mind. It's difficult at first, but like anything you get good at it with practise.
