China's response has been clear, as always. "Those who play with fire will perish by it." This was said to Pelosi and the Taiwan secessionist forces that support her. A White House official called it a metaphor that China regularly tends to use. He completely misread and misjudged the essence and weight of this sentence.
Any act of stepping on the red line will surely hit the iron wall of China's counterattack. China's repeated public warnings are by no means jokes. Washington should turn to history to see that China has always kept its word.
The issue is, Taiwan is China's territory, not a place where people can come and go at will. If you come uninvited with malice, of course we have the right and necessity to deal with you.
During the sensitive period, the People's Liberation Army will monitor Pelosi's plane in a timely manner. If it is found flying toward our airspace, the PLA fighter jets could warn, follow, intercept, electronically interfere, force a landing, or drive it back

About claims that Pelosi might want to sneak in Taiwan with a civilian airliner
Taiwan via a civilian airliner, it would be difficult to identify the plane. It is true. Yet if she comes and goes in such a way, we may not be able to make countermoves in time, but it will be Pelosi who bears the embarrassment

All good, I'll bring my Type 97 and we can establish the PLA's 69th Group Army.

All 5 of the gun stores near me are Chinese owned. Talk about sleeper agents.

Count me in lol... I've got quite a few things in my arsenal...

I've had my PAL for almost 10 years since I'm a teen and non of my Chinese friends ever joined the firearm club - they'd go shooting with me but never bothered to get licensed and buy a gun. But when Covid happened, all of my closest Chinese friends got their PALs and now we have quite a few T97, T81s in our procession... Hell, the first things I bought during the start of Covid (in addition to masks and disinfectants) were body armor, spare mags, a bunch of ammo, and a few slings in case things do go south...

Taiwan reunification is not something to be taken lightly for overseas Chinese, I highly recommend everyone who can legally processes firearms outside of China to arm themselves and learn to use it effectively during these turbulent times..

I find the "electronically interfere" part very interesting. Some forum members have previously suggested dropping flares or chaff in front of Pelosi's plane, but that still does risk the plane and Pelosi's life, which is something that wouldn't be in China's best interest. Electronic warfare, however, can be switched off whenever you want.

Should the PLA feel the need to ramp up the pressure on her while she's flying, what could the PLAAF do if they sent some J-16Ds to intercept her plane? Jam their communications with their escorts and the US mainland? Block GPS signals to try and force the plane to follow them instead? Blast some Mao speeches on their sound system?

I'd imagine that if I were Pelosi's pilot, I would be a lot more inclined to turn around/follow the PLAAF's orders if my GPS is going haywire, my radar's lighting up like fireworks, and the only thing I hear when I try to contact the USAF or ROCAF is deafening static.

Points made and worth pondering.

Sounds silly, but I think it does have at least a little basis. However, the pandemic wave in Shanghai and elsewhere already happened before Pelosi's 2nd possible visit to Taiwan announcement.

Alexander Mercouris has allegedly thought of something like this in a podcast several weeks ago.

Any thoughts?

Looks like their entire F-35s is grounded, how are they supposed to take on China with only 4th gen jets, are usaf pilots modern day kamikaze???

Its procedural, during times of war when survival of empire is at stake no one expects the American military to care about if ejection seats were safe ... when push comes to shove pilots are expendable and nothing wrong with kamikaze
