Well I will be happy to be proven wrong especially for the more obscure technologies on this list.
So... the West is looking towards choking China based on these too?

I mean, the report was compiled from articles published on Science and Technology Daily during 2018, the identified chokepoints should be kinda true
the most interesting thing to me is what's the current status of things given the fact that the chinese academy of sciences is the leading scientific institution in the world per papers published iirc
It is based off China's own publications but it is incredibly outdated (2018). For every 1 year that passes around the globe 5 years pass in China. I'm willing to bet a not insignificant number of these chokepoints have already been addressed or reduced.
It would be super interesting if they redid this study today.
Infact it is very possible they've done so, just didn't publicize it
