Published footage of the repair of Russian military equipment damaged in the battles in Ukraine and the restoration of captured equipment in Ukraine. For the speedy return of military equipment to service, specialists use the method of modular repair by replacing faulty units with serviceable ones from the repair fund, or removed from Ukrainian captured equipment, the maximum repair period is three days.

The Russian Ministry of Defense showed the work of the S-300PM2 Favorit air defense system in Ukraine. The S-300 family of air defense systems is quite widely represented and you can get confused in it. In short, these are several types, the S-300P is directly intended for the air defense forces, the S-300V is for the ground forces and the S-300F is for the fleet, there is also a tracked version of the S-300V4 for the ground forces, designed more to deal with aircraft EW. S-300PM2 is the modernization of the S-300 complex and bringing its characteristics to the level of the S-400 air defense system, according to some it even surpasses the S-400. As a result of modernization, the firing range of "Favorite" has increased to 200 km

Let's bypass the fact that a few brigades worth of people, even with the best equipment, won't win the war, how would you supply the logistics? Mechanized warfare is very resource intensive. Since most of Eastern Ukraine is out of fuel, how would they provide the fuel that far away from the Polish border? Tankers won't last long once they are headed East. What about ammo? Cannon shells are very heavy and must rely on trains, which can be hit. Even against all odds, you are able to successfully deliver a trainload of ammo, you will need trucks to deliver them to the front, which requires a lot of trucks and can be hit. The rail network in the entire Ukraine is being disrupted. Once the Russians takes Donbass, they will even out the frontline and if the attacking forces make a mistake, they can quickly be surrounded and pounded with cannons.
@reservior dogs bro nice post, do you remember the so called expert here claiming that Russia is losing cause they can't control Kharkov, Odessa and Kiev. Well I don't see them post anymore and an advise for them to read Mao dictum on peoples war “Keep men, lose land; land can be taken again. Keep land, lose men; you lose both”

The best option, I think, would have been to pull out most of the troops and equipment to more defensive lines on the other side of the Dnieper river and blow up most of the bridges over the river. They would be conceding a huge chunk of the country but would be much more defensible than the current situation. However with them not having control over the crossings around Kherson and Russia being able to attack via Belarus I think Ukraine is screwed either way. They failed big time with their "counteroffensive" around Kharkov. I think that will lose them the entire East of the country.
I wouldn't call advance of Ukrainiant forces around Kharkiv a 'counteroffensive'. They simply sent in major forces and Russian/DPR forces retreated mostly behind Seversky Donetz river to more defensible positions. Any attempts to mount an attack to cut Russian supply lines were thwarted and when Ukrainians had to send their heavy equipment back to Donbass, they simply left territorial units and nazi batallion as screen. They were there not to fight, just to harass local population searching for 'collaborators'. Once Russian forces showed up in numbers and quality, they simply retreated closer to Kharkiv.

⚡️Briefing by Russian Defence Ministry

▫️The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation in Ukraine.

High-precision air-based missiles of the Russian Aerospace Forces have hit 21 areas of concentration of AFU manpower and military equipment during the day.

✈️Operational-tactical, army and unmanned aviation have hit 37 areas of Ukrainian manpower and military equipment concentration.

▫️The attacks have resulted in the elimination of more than 360 nationalists and 49 weapons and military equipment including 1 detection and airspace control radar station in Slavyansk, Donetsk People's Republic.

▫️Also 13 Ukrainian tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, 1 Osa-AKM anti-aircraft missile system have been destroyed near Bakhmut, as well as 2 mortar batteries, 2 Grad multiple rocket launchers, 8 artillery mounts, 26 special vehicles, and 4 missile and artillery weapon depots near Soledar, Dzerzhinsk, Yakovlevka and Bakhmut.

Russian air defence means have shot down 3 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near Ryasnaya, Krutaya Balka, Donetsk People's Republic and Dmitrovka, Kharkov Region overnight. 3 Uragan multiple-launch rockets have been also intercepted over Petropolie, Kamenka, Kharkov Region, and Novoselovka Vtoraya, Donetsk People's Republic.

Missile troops and artillery have hit 26 command posts, 122 AFU artillery and mortar batteries at firing positions, 537 areas of AFU manpower and military equipment concentration, as well as 5 ammunition depots. 1 AFU unmanned aerial vehicle control post near Pervomaiskoe in Nikolaev Region has been destroyed.

In total, 186 Ukrainian aircraft and 129 helicopters, 1,087 unmanned aerial vehicles, 328 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,386 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 462 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,760 field artillery and mortars, as well as 3,376 units of special military vehicles were destroyed during the operation.

▫️Against the backdrop of Kiev's political catastrophe in Mariupol and military failures in Donbass, the Kiev regime, with British financial support, has organised the production of "morale raise" videos for Western and Ukrainian audiences.

▫️In particular, on May 28, staged video was filmed near Meshkovka, Nikolaev Region, of the alleged "high efficiency" of the use of Western weaponry by Ukrainian nationalists.

▫️To add more drama to the future film, at the insistence of British supervisors, a re-enactment of never-existing battle between Ukrainian Nazis and outnumbered "Russian soldiers" was created on the set.

▫️The roles of "opponents" of the Ukrainian Nazis in the staged short film were performed by members of the local territorial defence unit wearing red armbands.

▫️In the absence of trophy Russian equipment, the mock enemy appears in the frame using Ukrainian APCs and armoured vehicles.

▫️The next video shoot is scheduled for June 5 and 6. The videos will focus on staged testimonies of "ordinary Ukrainians" accusing Russia of allegedly deliberately shelling civilian populated areas.

This article might explain the lack of targetting pods and PGM's in the VKS. Russia has almost a complete lack of ability to produce micro electronics. The extent that Russian weapons are reliant on foreign electronic components is much larger than previously thought. Mindful of the fact that the source for this is Ukraine and NATO countries you do need to take some of the things said in the article with a pinch of salt. But the truth may not be that far off.

Both HistoryLegends and Shilao made the same comment yesterday that there is no big offensive coming. Everyone thought Ukraine would be arming and training a few brigades with all western stuff at the Polish border, then once they are ready send them to the front in one go as a big fist to make an impact. However we are observing that Kiev is actually sending all the gear they are receiving piecemeal to Donbas and to their counterattacks as soon as they are available. Thus there is not appreciable buildup in Western Ukraine.

Xi Yazhou disparaged this behavior in gaming terms calling it "送菜" or "feeding".
One reason why I think this is happening is the amount of destruction that has happened to the Ukrainian infrastructure and storage depots. They've been continuously hit for 100 days now, while in Poland/Romania everything is still intact. Videos of captured Ukrainian MREs all seem to be of western origin now.

The Ukrainian army is depending on Poland rather than itself for more ammo, food, fuel and basic necessities. Supply lines are saturated with just that, so a mass transfer of new equipment is unlikely.

Colonel Leyton explaining to CNN the very serious possibility that the Ukrainian army north of Popasna may end up surrounded if they do not organise a withdrawal in the coming days. They have close to 12,000 troops in that cauldron and losing them would be a serious blow to their war effort:

As previously mentioned, so even when Ukraine loses, it's spun as a win. I guess only time will tell. It's the same story from mariupol during the siege. They wanted to bleed the Russians, but in the end they bled out first it seems.
