It is possible too.

That said, the use of drones in this manner, while providing "interesting" videos, tactically and strategically doesn't amount to much.

It didn't help ISIS, sure as hell it isn't going to help Ukraine beyond morale/psychological/propaganda aspect
Isn't that because DJI banned all drones taking off in Syria? ISIS did modify DJI drones to drop bombs, but Western outrage forced DJI to prevent all drones from taking off in Syria.

The only reason why Western outrage isn't forcing DJI to do same in Ukraine is because Ukraine benefits from this assymetric warfare. Western double standards.

Is this one of the hobby drones modified to drop mortar rounds? Ouch...
Jammers to counter UAV and dedicated counter UAV weapons systems will be one of the big military spending in the next decades for sure. These little buggers are way overpowerful. Doesn't win ground but they are inflicting damage way beyond their cost.

Just gone for a weakend flying some RC, my friend have his new homebuild little plane weighting less than 250gr and going farther than 10 km, feeding crystal clear digital video and gps positions... we had over 40km/h winds. It's just hobby grade stuff...

A general rethink is needed on armoured vehicles in general. The doctrine needs a serious change and the priorities should be changed.

When before the biggest threat to tanks were other tanks or RPGs and thus they put armour on the front/side, in this age, due to multiple new threat vectors an entirely new approach is needed

The relationship is non linear. Once the more experienced soldiers die the conscripts will be easier. Crash course infantrymen, tank crews and helicopter pilots are no match for experienced ones, even with better equipment.

Also, consider the amount of spending the west is doing to achieve the status quo. In Afghanistan the US spent $1 billion over the entire 10 years. That lasts about a week in the current conflict. It's insane.

You are off 1000X, cost of 10 years was 1 trillion, not billion
