Has the NFT bubble finally crashed?
From what I've been reading, I think it has. There's a huge backlash against it being adopted in video games and video game companies making NFTs, and a lot of platforms for trading NFTs is being hacked left and right with huge losses and damage in trust. I think the crash might also be correlated with cryptocurrencies taking a huge dip in value as well.

I think so but you can also use web programming for desktop programs if you use Electron.js (depends on what you want to develop)

I am into web development (full stack) and we use vue.js and ruby on rails.
Ah yes, I've been thinking of learning towards using Electron.js for app development, because I've noticed its been used in software like Discord and VScode, but the main concern I have with it is performance issues because of it being based on Chromium, making it hard to be scaled up. Would it be a good investment to learn it in the long run?

It has performance issues, but they should be resolved in the following years. Given that its so early and major companies are using it at its current state, I think there are only upsides for the future.

Honestly, i don't know. Logically thinking, you would say that "merging" web and desktop development is the trend of the future and what it should happen but so far when I occasionally open up job descriptions they always ask the usual things.
C#, C++, Java, Python

I think the safest option is that you learn the normal desktop programming languages.

Just learn about them and forget about UI, when you get into working in a company, they will most probably have their own established way of doing UI. I think its better to not get locked up (ie. focused too much) in a specific framework.

Even Electron or Vue or React, they are all frameworks. Just get a solid grasp on the programming principles and then the companies themselves will slot you in to fit their programming teams. No need to start running like a headless chicken with learning a bazillion of frameworks

Alright, Thank you very much for the advice! I think I would go for learning Python and continue learning Java, then maybe learn some algorithms and practice coding with design principles during the process of learning those languages.

It's amazing how many people bought into what is basically a pyramid scheme. Game companies making NFTs? You mean like EA, sony? How is that not illegal?

Yup, and I've heard Ubisoft tried getting into it as well. A lot of the values we see for NFT are simply a scam, where they bid their own auction at high prices then sell it to themselves to inflate the value, after that they would try to get suckers to buy it at "discounted" prices to earn a profit. Another thing I've heard that I'm not sure if its true or how it works, but you could get like tax reduction by selling your NFT at a "loss" because it counts assets? This could just be a rumor because that's pretty weird.

Yeah, I don't know why its legal, but China is allowing it and Shanghai is building a market for it I think, so maybe there's some use for the technology behind NFT, just that right now its being used a speculative vehicle to scam greater fools into parting their money, because there's no regulation behind it.

Honest question, is SDF flagged & tracked by security agencies ? I was browsing through SDF at Walmart . Then when I tried walmart wifi, SDF page didn’t load. But when I opened DFI or other similar defense page, it opened normally. Why would walmart specifically block this particular website ?
Surely there is at least some lowly analysis either for gov , contractors, or think tanks prowling this forum and various twitter accounts trying to get some insight or direction.

This is news to me. If people lose a lot of money heads are going to roll. Figuratively in the west and possibly literally in China.
The tax thing may work in other countries but it wouldn't in the UK.

Look at some of the pictures that get posted on the air force forum. This website is one of the few windows beyond the GFW.

Crypto took a 50%+ haircut so NFT imaginary prices has definitely crashed from that perspective.

I occasionally wonder who would buy this thrash so i wonder around openseas looking around, there doesn't seem to be much "resale" going on for most of NFT. Its only worth as much as the next sucker will pay or if you can even find a sucker... as most past collectors of comic books, sports card, beanie babies have found out
