It’s all maneuver warfare. Scot Ritter on Twitter has a great thread about. Basically Russia had mobilized 200k soldiers against Ukraine which has 600k+ fighters. They did feints to bog down Ukrainian forces from sending reinforcements to the Donbass. The first phase was to create a land bridge from Crimea to Russia. Second phase is an all out offensive into the Donbass region to encircle and destroy the 70-100k Ukrainian fighters there. Next step after that is to take the cities one by one in the south and East. There is a reason why they bombed fuel depots because with no fuel the Ukrainians are stuck and can move their forces to reinforce or launch counterattacks.

And when did convicted paedophile and RT writer Mr. Ritter first mention this withdrawal from around Kiev was all about 'manouver warfare'? Right after Russia accepted the failure of the Kiev thrust and announced its "goodwill measure"?

Pro-Russian sources on Twitter were saying that Russian media or other internal sources reported the incident as a Ukrainian missile strike. Sure, they could be wrong. But I'm just going off what I heard.
Could you at least contribute with some of your personal speculation as to what type of missile? Cruise missile? Ballistic missile? Or something like a speculation of possible positions from where the missiles can be launched and hit.

Something vague like has not value to add to this forum. This is not twitter. We are not resorting to cheap booing/cheering here.

You concur with a registered, convicted sex offender and RT op-ed writer? Basically a massively compromised, paid Russian shill? Well OK, you do you.
Scott Ritter is a former US Marine and nuclear weapons inspector. He is certainly more qualified to comment on military affairs than random anonymous joes on the Internet. And you must be quite naive if you think people don't get smeared or destroyed by those in power with entrapment in operations like that. It is called an honey trap. They did the exact same thing to Assange as well.

He's spot on with his assessment.

No he's definitely a nonce. He looks like one.

What kind of missile? Launched from where? On what platform?

Russian media could be wrong or covering for something like incompetence. Can't take any media releases at face value.

The only explanation that I can make sense of on why he didn't send enough troops to encircle Kiev, is because its a diversion, to keep Ukrainian troops there to prevent them from sending reinforcement to the East.

no a diversionary force does not need 60,000 men

they wanted to take Kiev they simply couldn't

even the towns they did take now Ukraine is fighting back and taking
