Southfront is only temporarily down according to them. But I think if they're now in the firing line of American censors, they'll struggle to stay online. Goes to show whos really winning the war if they need to resort to blocking small websites that present an alternate account.

They were pro-Russian but a fairly balanced source of information in my opinion. Now all that remains are telegram channels, and the few western based pro-Russian outlets. With the way things are going I think it'll be a matter of time before they're targeted too. There are always ways around censorship but the audience will become smaller and smaller.

During the cold war you could buy newspapers and literature from the Soviet Union pretty freely and it was them that was banning western media. Now as the west descends into its death spiral it's turned to a form of censorship that would make the Soviet Union look liberal.

That's going to get ugly

"Zelensky has signed a law that allows all civilians to carry weapons of war & use them against Russian soldiers"

Hello,

I am new in this forum, living in Germany.

Two things from the past: The above stated action of Mr. Selensky is close to the call for the "Volkssturm" - 16-60 aged "men" had to fight - in Germany 1945. In the last months of the war, the German suffered the highest casulaties of the whole war.

If the Ukraine carries on with that politics of madness, they can alreday start digging graves for thousands to be slaughtered. As some already stated beforehand: A real leader will accept defeat and save his people and infrastructure. But this maniac resistance will lead to devastation and death. The wording of Selensky and his comrades also reminds me of the darkest years of Germany. Harsh, proud words, but the toll will be bloody. Very depressing.

The second thing: When I saw the "Z" and "V" on the tanks and armoured vehicles it reminded me of the German Wehrmacht in WWII . When they attacked the Soviet Union in 1941 they painted letters on the rear of their tanks and armoured vehicles of the Tank-Groups in the Army Center. It was "G" for Guderian" and "H" for Hoth. The two Tank-Groups joined together in the battle of the Kiew pocket. In the south it was "K" for Kleist. The aim was to ease communications and help the soldiers to identify their vehicles.

Maybe the Russians copied this idea. Right from the beginning it was obvious, that the Russians would invade big parts of the Ukraine. You do not mark your verhicles unless you think, that they might come together one day.

lol, this is really funny!
You're words seem visibly heated with emotion.
Yes, because if Russia doesn't install a puppet regime in Ukraine or atleast annex big territory, then all you are left with a "paper neutral" independent Ukraine that still hates your guts and can still conspire with West in future. Is Russia going to use external force everytime Ukraine is not obedient? A puppet regime is necessary to guarantee Russian interests is priority from within Ukraine without direct Russian intervention.
And you have been ranting about this "blitzkrieg". It makes me imagine a certain character (with mustache) in a certain movie.

Sweetie, what "blitzkrieg" are you talking about? There are no way on earth do you conduct a "blitzkrieg" with just 200,000 men and just a few squadron of strike airplane on a land mass as big as Ukraine which has some two hundred thousand active standing army and additional two hundred thousand reserve forces.
I mean the capital. It's so close to Belarus border that you can blitzkrieg to surround it and demand a ceasefire. Not the entire landmass, too large.
Modern military don't do "blitzkrieg", dude. This ain't Wolfenstein, dude!! hahahahaha
You don't even prepare real "blitzkrieg" like this. Even before the war starts, what Russian forces has on the Ukrainian borders is NOT going to be able to do a "blitzkrieg".

Please, don't make me laugh anymore with your "blitzkrieg".
I mean immediately surround the capital and demand a ceasefire. Not blitzkrieg the entire country, just the capital. Russia attacked along the entire border but it's main focus was always the capital region to strangle the head of govt and reduce civilian casualties with immediate ceasefire.
