Like one would expect Ukraine pilot to drive those aircrafts home and in secure base from which they will fly sorties or disperse to another but closer secure base to frontline.

Current situation. Take away all the propaganda and smokescreen, Russians are advancing steadily. Of course there was the initial hesitancy to do a total war against fellow Slavs but now it seems they are more aggressive. Not trying to create an excuse for their fck ups, but truth is normally something in between two extreme narratives.
